Top NBA Plays 2/22 | No Detention Here
Welcome to a special Saturday edition of the LineStar Daily Dribble. The all-star break had us all feeling some withdrawals for NBA DFS and Thursday and Friday wasn't enough to quench our thirst. There are 6 games on tap for the main slate so let's get after it:
Tonight's DFS Headlines
Nets @ Hornets
This would be a good game to target post players, as Charlotte ranks 30th dVp against the C spot and Brooklyn 29th. The Nets will try to make the postseason (currently 7th seed) even as it was announced that Kyrie Irving (shoulder) would miss the rest of the season.
Mavericks @ Hawks
Trae Young ($10.6k) went for 50 real points his last game and oddsmakers are expecting another big scoring night with a betting total of 240. Dallas will be on the back-to-back here after a 15 point win in Orlando on Friday.
Cavs @ Heat
The Cavs will be on the back-to-back after getting a win in new coach JB Bickerstaff's team debut in Washington last night. Miami is still a -13.5 favorite in this one though.
Suns @ Bulls
Deandre Ayton ($8.7k) and Devin Booker ($7.9k) both logged 34 minutes last night in Toronto. Is a tired Phoenix team better than a horribly bad Bulls team that has lost 7 in a row?
76ers @ Bucks
Joel Embiid ($9.4k) recently said he thought he was the best basketball player in the world. There's a guy on Milwaukee who might have a little rebuttal to that tonight at home - and no, not Brook Lopez ($5k).
Rockets @ Jazz
It should be a fast paced game in Utah tonight, as Houston's new small ball approach meets a Utah defense that will be on 0 days rest after losing to San Antonio on Friday night.
Guards
Mike Conley DK $5.2k | FD $5.8k
Utah is on the back-to-back tonight but Mike Conley was held out of Friday's game vs. San Antonio (rest). That means he'll be fresh for a fast paced tilt vs. Houston in a game that has a betting total of 234. Conley has taken at least 13 shots in four straight games and had a 20/5/6 line the last game he played - which was on February 9th vs. the Rockets.
Josh Richardson DK $4.4k | FD $5k
Ben Simmons (back) should return to the lineup tonight but there's still good upside for Josh Richardson. The Sixers play Milwaukee tonight getting nearly an 8 possession boost in pace. Richardson has taken 11 three's in the last two games and has logged 32 minutes the last two games after returning from a hamstring injury.
Goran Dragic. DK $5.4k | FD $4.9k
Hopefully Cleveland can keep things close with Miami tonight on the back-to-back. The Cavs looked rejuvenated under new coach JB Bickerstaff last night but are 13.5 underdogs in Miami. A tighter game bodes well for Goran Dragic vs. Cleveland's #30 defense vs. the PG. Dragic has scored at least 13 real points in 7 straight games and has at least 5 assists in six of those.
Forwards
Caris Levert DK $7k | FD $6.2k
Great FD value on Caris Levert tonight as he gets a 3% usage increase with Kyrie Irving out of the lineup. Levert launched 29 shots on Thursday vs. Philadelphia, the 4th time in the last 6 that he has taken at least 20 field goal attempts. Charlotte ranks 24th in the league in defensive efficiency as well.
PJ Washington DK $4.7k | FD $4.8k
Brooklyn ranks 8th defensively vs. the PF position but that's not how they've been playing as of late. Pascal Siakam has two 34+ fp games vs. the Nets over the last four. Domantas Sabonis had a 23/10/11 line before the break and Tobias Harris just posted 22/12 vs. the Nets on Thursday. PJ Washington has taken 10+ shots in 3 of the last 4 and has 9+ rebounds twice over that span.
Tim Hardaway, Jr. DK $6.1k | FD $5.6k
Tim Hardaway, Jr. is playing in the back-to-back tonight, but the rule of rostering wing players vs. the Hawks still stands. Atlanta is 30th defensively vs. the SF position. Hardaway had 16/6 last night vs. a good Orlando defense and should have options tonight as Dallas has 123 implied points.
Center
Deandre Ayton DK $8.7k | FD $9k
Will Phoenix being on the back-to-back drive people away from Deandre Ayton tonight? The Suns' big man did log 35 minutes last night but also hadn't played in the two weeks prior due to an ankle injury and the all-star break. Ayton may not need much court time vs. Chicago's #28 ranked defense vs. the C position. Joel Embiid had 64fp in 30 minutes vs. Chicago prior to the all-star game and Cody Zeller just went for 35 in 26 minutes on Thursday. The Bulls are 27th in the league in rebound rate and Ayton averaged 12 boards per in two games vs. Chicago last season.

Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Deandre Ayton. 25/12 is the floor for the Phoenix big man tonight vs. a Chicago team that is absolutely ravaged by injuries and one of the worst teams defensively vs. the C position.
