Top NBA Plays 2/23 | Breakfast Club

It was a short week due to the all-star break and there's a huge 11-game card tonight, so we're going to Breakfast Club it and deliver a Saturday edition of the LineStar Daily Dribble. Will Boston mess with the Bulls and get the horns? James Harden is at Golden State, will it be two hits - him hitting the defender and the defender hitting the floor (for an offensive foul)? Does Barry Manilow know Russ Westbrook raided his wardrobe?

Tonight's Headline Games

The Houston Rockets blew a game vs. the Lakers Thursday. The Golden State Warriors barely squeaked by the Kings. How does each team respond at Oracle on Saturday night? (GS -9)

What does the Oklahoma City Thunder have left in the tank after last night's thrilling 148-147 2OT win over the Jazz? Can Russell Westbrook ($11,300) and Paul George ($10,600) combine for another 88 points vs. the Sacramento Kings? (OKC -5.5)

There are a ton of teams on B2B tonight. Two of which are the Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks. Does Utah deserve to be a -11 favorite over the Mavs?

The New Orleans Pelicans looked bad in a 111-126 loss to the Pacers on Friday. It doesn't get any easier, as a Los Angeles Lakers squad with "playoff mode activated" visits town Saturday. (LAL -5).

Memphis is a fantasy waste land but man their potential looks good vs. Cleveland

Guards

Tyler Johnson (DK: $4,100 FD: $4,700 Y! $11) Ownership: 3.6%

This is a matchup play if you've ever seen one because Atlanta has been getting absolutely lit up by opposing PG. Going against the Hawks back court worked Friday for Reggie Jackson roster-ers (32/5/8). So why not a breakout game for the Suns' Tyler Johnson? The guy doesn't really like to shoot (9 pts the high for February) but he's an OK rebounder and has some potential for assists, as the Hawks are on a back-to-back.

De'Aaron Fox (DK: $7,200 FD: $7,200 Y! $30) Ownership 3.16%

In a weird way, De'Aaron Fox having his opponent in a back-to-back on Saturday night might be a bad thing. A fresh OKC team pushes the pace that allowed Fox to have a 28 point, 12 assist night when the teams met up back in December. Buddy Hield added 37 in that game by the way. Westbrook has been tearing it up on offense, but as a result, his defense starts to lax. Fox should have at least a 45 point fantasy night.

Westbrook has been scoring - and giving up - big fantasy nights.

Terrance Ferguson (DK: $4,000, FD; $3,800 Y!:$10 ) Ownership 0%

You can't get much better of a GPP option than Terrance Ferguson, who doesn't have a date to the dance with 0% ownership. It's no secret that Sacramento should push the pace tonight, as OKC was in a 2OT game Friday. Paul George logged 50 minutes vs. the Jazz, Westbrook 42, and even Dennis Schroder had 35 off the bench. Ferguson started, but only saw 26:55 of court time due to foul trouble. "Fergie Ferg" has a lot left in the tank, time to push the pedal to the metal.

Forwards

Bogdan Bogdanovic (DK: $4,600 FD: $5,800 Y! $20) Ownership 9.15%

Sacramento's Bogdan Bogdanovic is a versatile guy that has posted double figures in scoring in five straight games. He also has 4+ assists and 4+ rebounds in 3 of the last 4. The Kings play OKC Saturday night and the Thunder just had an exhausting 2OT jamboree vs. Utah on Friday. In the last two games, Oklahoma City has allowed a 34 point fantasy night to Kenrich Williams of the Pelicans and 37.25 to Joe Ingles of the Jazz. Bogdanovic should approach the 40 barrier in this one.

Bogdanovic is nice and due for a 40 point fp night.

Lauri Markkanen (DK: $8,000 FD: $8,700 Y!: $37) Ownership 18.52%

You would have liked the fact that Lauri Markkanen playing 38 minutes in Orlando last night would've scared of some people but ownership is still high. The presumption must be that If a 38-year-old can go out on consecutive nights in Vegas then the 21-year old Markannen should have no problem playing two basketball games in two days. On February 8th, Markkanen had a 31/18 night vs. Brooklyn (38:25) and followed that up with a 20/11/4 line the next night vs. Washington. We're not worried in that aspect but the production should improve vs. a Boston team that is 26th defensively vs. the PF position.

Kyle Kuzma (DK: $6,300, FD: $6.800 Y! $24) Ownership 7%

The Lakers are riding high after coming back from a 19 point deficit to beat Houston on Thursday. There's nothing to keep that momentum going like a visit to the Pelicans - who also happen to be on a back-to-back. The all-star break didn't do much to improve New Orleans' 27th ranked scoring defense, as they allowed 126 points to Indiana on Friday night. Kyle Kuzma should be in line for a big night for LA as New Orleans is 28th defensively vs. the SF position over the past 5 games. Andrew Wiggins has a 51 point night vs. the Pels over that span, Paul George went for 49, and even Jonathan Isaac had 36.75.

Center

Ivan Rabb (DK: $5,900 FD: $3,800 Y!: $13) Ownership 6.15%

Somebody weird is going to have a big night for the Grizzlies vs. the Cavs, you can just feel it. Memphis is on the B2B vs. a Cleveland team that gives up a lot of fantasy points (although not as bad lately). Ivan Rabb provides some salary relief with some upside. The Memphis C played just 24:45 in a 106-112 loss to the Clippers while veteran Joakim Noah logged 30+. Noah had 22/11 while Rabb went for 15/9. Those roles should be reversed on Saturday, as Rabb gets 30+ of court time.

Utility Player

Steph Curry (DK:$9,400 FD:$9,500 Y!41) Ownership 3.96%

Tonight's lineup leaves $9,900 for the utility spot which makes Steph Curry a great play here. He's up against Houston at the Oracle tonight - enough said.

That wraps up a special Saturday edition of the Daily Dribble. Enjoy the weekend because there's another colossal 11-game slate coming up on Monday. Until then, feel free to follow Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) for more daily fantasy and sports betting insights and oversights.
