Top NBA Plays 2/23| Points Please

It's a 9-game slate for the NBA's Tuesday night card, and it looks like we should see some scoring. Aside from the Detroit @ Orlando matchup that has a betting total of 210, all the eight other games have an O/U in the 220s. That includes three games with 230+ and the Kings @ Nets which tops off at 242.

That usually means a lot of 92-88 finishes, but let's find some deals and steals.

Today's NBA Matchups

Hawks (-7) @ Cavaliers , O/U 229, 7:00 PM ET

The Cavs have entered 'fun bad' mode, losing their 10th straight game on Sunday. The last six have all been by at least 16 points, making Atlanta (or the Hawks bench even) an immediate target.

Pistons @ Magic (-3.5), O/U 210, 7:00 PM ET

This is the lowest betting total of the nights by at least 10 points, and Orlando won this meeting 105-96 on Sunday. Nikola Vucevic still went for 65fp (37 & 12) even in the low scoring game.

Kings @ Nets (-6.5) , O/U 242, 7:30 PM ET

The Kings are getting beat on in their trip to the East Coast, giving up 122+ to Chicago and Milwaukee so far. The Nets will take that as winners of six straight, and actually probably become more of a target with Kevin Durant out (hamstring).

Warriors (-3) @ Knicks, O/U 220, 7:30 PM ET

Golden State is making a visit to the East Coast which is always tough, and they've dropped consecutive games at Orlando and Charlotte. Having the last two nights off may help, but the Knicks have looked good winning 4 of their last 5.

Lineup Notes: James Wiseman should return from his wrist injury. Steph Curry left right before Saturday's game with an illness.

Celtics (-2) @ Mavericks, O/U 224, 7:30 PM ET

Kristaps Porzingis was a scratch with a bad back last night so his status is iffy. The Mavs are on the back-to-back, but had built up a 23 point lead at times vs. Memphis so it was pretty easy sailing. The C's start the first leg of their back to back.

Injury Update: Kristaps Porzinis and Maxi Kleber are out

Sixers (-1.5) @ Raptors, O/U 222, 7:30 PM ET

Toronto won this matchup 110-103 on Sunday despite 25+ from Embiid and Simmons. Will the Raptors continue to use Pascal Siakam at the C position?

Timberwolves @ Bucks (-10.5) , O/U 231, 8:00 PM ET

To target or not to target, and I'm not talking about Minnesota's home stadium. The Bucks have won two straight, breaking out of their mini-funk. They were held to under 100 points vs. OKC though and face an improved Minnesota team that has really started to slow the pace. Minnesota debuts their new coach Chris Finch tonight.

Trail Blazers @ Nuggets (-6), O/U 232, 10:00 PM ET

Denver looks like a nice target, as Portland has given up 118+ in four of their last five. The Blazers are also on the back to back after giving up 132 to Phoenix last night.

Wizards @ Clippers (-12), O/U 233.5, 10:00 PM ET

Washington may be a bit exhausted tonight, riding a 5-game win streak but needing OT to beat the Lakers 127-124 last night. The Wizards still have to visit Denver on Thursday, so do they take a lighter approach vs. the Clippers?

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

James Harden DK $10.7k | FD $11k

vs. Brooklyn

Sacramento has been giving up the points on their current East Coast trip, losing 122-114 to Chicago and 129-115 to Milwaukee. That's running at a nice pace and tonight's game has a betting total in the 240s. Harden has a 67fp floor in 3 of the last 4 and plays without Durant tonight.

Evan Fournier DK $6.8k | FD $6.8k

vs. Detroit

The Pistons gave up just 105 points to Orlando - a solid effort. Evan Fournier was still able to get 29 points to go along with 7 boards and 7 assists (48fp) so he definitely has upside here. Fournier now has 19+ real points in his three games back from injury and is adding nice peripherals for what seemed like used to be just a shooter.

Kemba Walker DK $6.4k | FD $6.6k

@Dallas

PGs vs. Dallas is a thing lately, but that's especially true with the Mavs on the back to back. Ja Morant had 22 and 9 assists last night, Damian Lillard 34/11 the game before, and Trae Young 25/15 over the last four. Kemba Walker had just 27fp the last time out, but that was on an atrocious 5-21 from the field.

Immanuel Quickley DK $4.4k | FD $5k

vs. Golden State

The product has dropped for IQ the last two games, but he's also been in low scoring contests against Orlando and Minnesota the last two. Things should change tonight vs. Golden State, who has given up 39+ fp to five straight at the SG position.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Giannis Antetokounmpo DK $11k | FD $11.3k

vs. Minnesota

Antetokounmpo has a 6X floor in 6 of the last 7, posting a point/rebound double-double in each of those games and adding 8+ assists in four of those. Minnesota has allowed 36/16/10 (OT) to Domantas Sabonis and 25/14/4 to Julius Randle over the last three vs. the PF position. Minnesota playing reinvigorated under a new coach to keep this game close would certainly help here.

Joe Harris DK $5.7k | FD $5.3k

vs. Kings

We've got what should be a high scoring game vs. Sacramento as well as no Kevin Durant (and possibly Jeff Green and TLC) for the Nets. That sounds like a Joe Harris night, as he's got a couple of 20+ real point games over the last three. The Kings also just gave up 32/8/6 to Khris Middleton at the SF spot on Sunday.

R.J. Barrett DK $5.5k | FD $5.5k

vs. Golden State

R.J. Barrett has played well lately, going for 15+ real points and 4+ boards the last three. He's got a great matchup with Barrett had 28 real points vs. the Warriors at the end of January and had 22 points and 10 rebounds in December last season.

Bruce Brown DK $4.5k | FD $4.6k

vs. Sacramento

If there's no Jeff Green or Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot tonight, Brown has huge upside. Brown had 13 points and 8 rebounds in just his 3rd 30+ minute game of the season. Brown had 15 points and 14 rebounds when Brown logged 30+ on January 13th.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Nikola Vucevic DK $10.2k | FD $9.9k

vs. Detroit

Joel Embiid should tear it up vs. Toronto's small ball lineup and Nikola Jokic will get usage through the moon in what should be a close game with Portland. Vucevic isn't a bad option as the 3rd highest price C of the slate, considering he just went for 37 points and 12 boards on the first end of the back to back with Detroit on Sunday. Vuc hit a triple double (75fp) the game before that vs. GSW so he's clicking right now.

Enes Kanter DK $7k | FD $6.9k

@Denver

Nice contrarian play for Enes Kanter here? The Nuggets rank top 5 in the NBA vs. the C position but have allowed a 20/10 to Jarrett Allen and a 22/10 to Clint Capela in the last two games. Kanter is on a rebounding run, grabbing 13+ in 5 of the last 7 and has scored in double digits in 5 of the last 7 as well. Kanter played 28 minutes last night, should be full strength on the b2b.
