Top NBA Plays 2/25 | Time to Indulge

It's Fat Tuesday, so it's time to get some debauchery out of the way heading into tonight's 7-game slate. We're not gonna give up winning for Lent, so get out the beads and let's see what's in store:

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Hornets @ Pacers

Charlotte continues to be horrible in their post defense, ranking 30th vs. the C position and 26th vs. PFs. The betting total in this matchup is just 209 though.

Bucks @ Raptors

Milwaukee was probably guilty of the look ahead game last night, having to go to OT vs. a Wizards team that was on the back-to-back. Giannis Antetokounmpo did play just 25 minutes in that game though (Kris Middleton had 40+). Toronto is still a +1.5 home 'dog.

Thunder @ Bulls

Could the Bulls put up a fight here? Chicago snapped an 8-game losing streak on Sunday and Coby White became the first rookie in league history to score consecutive 30+ point games off the bench. OKC ranks 3rd defensively vs. the SG and 12th vs. the PG however.

Pistons @ Nuggets

The Nuggets are favored by a dozen over the lowly Pistons who have now dropped 6 in a row.

Pelicans @ Lakers

Beware of chalk Anthony Davis tonight, as he has averaged 43.5 real points in two meetings vs. his former team this season. His salary has actually decreased $1.9k though.

Celtics @ Trail Blazers

Look for secondary players to step up, as both Kemba Walker and Damian Lillard remain out for their respective teams. Carmelo Anthony dropped 32 real points on Sunday to go along with CJ McCollum's 41 - vs. Detroit though.

Kings @ Warriors

Sacramento has beaten playoff contenders Memphis and the Clippers in their first two games out of the break. This is the type of must-win game that the Kings will ultimately lose to the worst team in the league.

Not a whole lot to catch your eye in SAC / GSW

Guards

Jamal Murray DK $7.8k | FD $7.2k

There are getting to be a lot of mouths to feed as Denver starts to get healthy but you simply play PGs vs. the Pistons right now. Detroit just gave up a 76 fp night to CJ McCollum on Sunday, allowed 40 to Eric Bledsoe in the first game out of the all-star break, and served up a 50 burger to Markelle Fultz the tilt before that. Murray is averaging 26.4 ppg and 5.9 apg in February and has three games of 20+ shots in the last 6.

PGs have lit up the Pistons as of late.

Buddy Hield DK $6.6k | FD $5.8k

Buddy Hield's price has dropped $1k after his atrocious 15 minute performance on Saturday vs. the Clippers. Was it a punishment? A minutes restriction? Either way, it's a great time to buy low on Hield up against Golden State's #30 defense vs. the SG tonight. The Warriors have allowed at least 112 points to 10 straight opponents and could also be missing Draymond Green (pelvis) and Marquese Chriss (calf). Hield had put up 20+ real points in 4 of 5 prior to Saturday and he'll be antsy after taking a season low 2 three-pointers last game.

Fred VanVleet DK $6.8k | FD $6.3k

We've got a 🎂Birthday Game 🎂 for Fred VanVleet tonight and he's under $7k for the first time in the last 5. Toronto faces Milwaukee tonight with a 4.87 possession pace boost. The Bucks are on the back-to-back which should put a dent in their #1 ranked defensive efficiency. You play three point shooters against the Bucks, as they are last in the league in opponent three pointers made per game, especially on the road (14). VanVleet has shot 7 or more from beyond the arc in six straight games.

6X shouldn't be out of the question for FVV tonight.

Forwards

Domantas Sabonis DK $9k | FD $8.3k

Domantas Sabonis offers some value (on FD) considering he's at home and against a Charlotte team that is 30th dVp against the C position and 26th vs. PFs. Charlotte has given up nearly 40fp to Juancho Hernangomez and almost 50fp to Thaddeus Young in 2 of their last 3 games. Sabonis has a double-double in 3 of the last 4 and even added 11 assists back on February 10th vs. the Nets. He has also taken at least 15 shots in four straight and Victor Oladipo (back) could be out tonight for the Pacers.

The 42.5 projection would be a disappointment.

Danilo Gallinari DK $6.1k | FD $5.7k

You have to play a PF with Danilo Gallinari's offensive upside at under $6k vs. Chicago. The Bulls are 29th vs. the PF position and the 4th worst rebounding team in the league. What's really needed here is the Bulls to keep things close as +7 home underdogs considering Gallinari played just 25 minutes in a 28 point win over San Antonio on Sunday. Prior to that, he had put up 14+ shots in 5 straight games including 5+ from beyond the arc. That usage combined with what should be a good rebounding night and at that price should equate to at least a 6X night.

Gallinari is averaging 42+ the last two games vs. the Bulls

Carmelo Anthony DK $6k | FD $5.8k

Carmelo Anthony was hot last game, going 11/16 from the field. That would usually mean he's going to launch tonight - but he was going to launch anyway. Anthony has 14+ shots in 6 of the last 7 and ended up dropping 32 real points on Sunday. He also has a 15 rebound game over that span and ownership should be lower than projected in this one, as the matchup vs. Boston isn't ideal.

Center

Steven Adams DK $6.7k | FD $6.5k

The betting total in the Oklahoma City / Chicago game is just 217.5 but Steven Adams should be able to do what he wants down low for the Thunder. The Bulls rank 27th defensively vs. opposing C's and are the #27 rebounding team in the league. Five days ago, Cody Zeller put up 35fp in 26 minutes vs. the Bulls and on Saturday Deandre Ayton went for 28/19 in Chicago. Adams has put up 4 straight double-doubles including a 21/14 night on Sunday vs. the Spurs.

Would a possible Wendell Carter, Jr. return deter you from Adams tonight?
