Top NBA Plays 2/26 | Time to Dig

It's your typical loaded NBA Wednesday with 9 games on tap for tonight. That's good because it's a lighter load tomorrow with only 4 games to choose from (sometimes those are more fun battles). Get in, lock down, and let's see where the projections take us:

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Knicks @ Hornets

Charlotte has a high water mark of 86 points in their last two games. You have to think that improves a bit against a Knicks team that has allowed 114+ in 3 of the last 4. O/U is still just 206 though.

76ers @ Cavs

No Ben Simmons (back) again tonight for Philly but no problem as Joel Embiid scored 22 of his 49 real points in the 4th quarter on Monday vs. Atlanta. This one may stay closer than expected too with a line of the 76ers -7.5.

Nets @ Wizards

Bradley Beal has gone for 50+ real points in back-to-back games but the Nets rank 7th defensively vs. the SG position.

Magic @ Hawks

Orlando gets the best pace boost of the night and Nikola Vucevic has the highest previous output vs. an opponent on tonight's slate with 52.75 vs. Atlanta last game. It was 135-126 Orlando when these teams met on February 10th.

Timberwolves @ Heat

Jimmy Butler (personal) has missed the last two for Miami and how to target this game completely depends on his availability. It doesn't sound like he's going to make it back to face his old squad though:

Grizzlies @ Rockets

A solid game to target with an O/U of 235. Memphis ranks 28th defensively vs. the SG position while Houston struggles vs. wing players, ranking 28th vs. the SF.

Mavericks @ Spurs

The Spurs return home for the first time in over three weeks after going 2-6 on the annual Rodeo Road Trip. San Antonio will be without LaMarcus Aldridge (shoulder) in this one and it wouldn't be surprising to see Dallas as a road favorite here.

Clippers @ Suns

The Clippers defense was looking a bit iffy after allowing an average of 121 ppg in three straight losses. They bounced back Monday, holding the Grizzlies to under 100 though.

Celtics @ Jazz

Boston wraps up a 4-game road trip tonight but they have to do it in the back-to-back after beating Portland on Tuesday. There's no Kemba Walker for the 4th straight game for the Celtics but Jayson Tatum has gone for 50+ fp the last four.

Guards

Furkan Korkmaz DK $4.3k | FD $4.1k

Furkan Korkmaz is in a great spot to continue his recent success when the Sixers play the Cavs and without Ben Simmons. Korkmaz had a couple 30+ real point games leading up to the all-star break and is averaging 16 and 5.5 rebounds the last two. Those numbers should increase vs. a Cleveland team that ranks 23rd dVp against SGs.

Some pretty green matchups for Kork tonight.

Kendrick Nunn DK $6.1k | FD $4.9k

Kendrick Nunn wasn't healthy before the all-star break and it showed. The rookie looks to be putting his ailments behind him though with back-to-back 20+ point games. Jimmy Butler being out of the lineup has definitely helped Nunn, as will facing D'Angelo Russell's defense tonight. The T'Wolves rank 23rd defensively vs. the PG and have given up 45+ fp to 3 of the last 5 point men they've faced.

No Butler and facing the Wolves is a good combo for Nunn.

Mike Conley DK $5k | FD $5.7k

Ownership should be on the lower side for Mike Conley tonight as Boston ranks #1 defensively vs. the PG. The Celtics are without Kemba Walker though and wrap up a 3-game West Coast swing on 0 days rest. Conley was abysmal last game with just 8 points on 4 of 6 shooting but went for 13/7/7 last Saturday vs. the Rockets.

Forwards

Aaron Gordon DK $7.8k | FD $7.5k

Aaron Gordon is still under $8k despite going for 54+fp in 2 of the last 3. Orlando gets the best pace boost of the night vs. Atlanta - a team that struggles mightily vs. wing players. The Hawks rank 28th defensively vs. the PF position. Gordon has grabbed 9+ rebounds in 6 of the last 7 games and Atlanta is the 3rd worst team in the league in rebounding rate.

Getting robbed at the dunk contest has sure fired up Gordon.

Rui Hachimura DK $5.9k | FD $5.1k

Rui Hachimura has scored double figures in all three games since the all-star break, which is saying something the way Bradley Beal has been going off for Washington. Hachimura still has a ceiling of just 35 fp over that span though. The rookie is in a great spot tonight and ownership should be low because the Nets are 8th dVp against the PF - overall. Brooklyn has been getting torn up on the blocks lately, allowing three 50+ over the last five to power forwards. With Davis Bertans (knee) possibly out again, look for another 30-40 minute night from Hachimura.

Brooklyn is struggling to defend the PF spot as of late.

Bobby Portis DK $4.2k | FD $4k

If the salary isn't there for Julius Randle at $8.4k, Bobby Portis is a nice cost-effective backup. The Knicks are up against Charlotte's #30 ranked defense vs. the C and #27 vs. the PF position. The Hornets are also on the back-to-back after losing by 39 at Indiana last night. Portis has scored 11+ real points in 4 of the last 5 games and has at least six boards in each of those. He's also seen a nice minutes uptick the last two (27:41, 24:24) which should continue with NYK on the front end of a back-to-back.

Center

Bam Adebayo DK $9k | FD $8.9k

Bam Adebayo missed a triple double by 1 assist, his third straight game with at least 9 dimes. Jimmy Butler is likely out again tonight which gives Adebayo a nearly 5% usage boost. It's a great matchup vs. Minnesota, who has allowed 48+ fp to 2 of the last 3 C's they've faced while Karl-Anthony Towns continues to be out of the lineup.

Adebayo gets a great boost with all the current Heat injuries / absences.
