Top NBA Plays 2/3| Revenge or Homecoming?

It's long been proven that players don't hate each other anymore, in fact, it's just the opposite they actually take vacations and ride on banana boats together.

Of course that doesn't mean players don't hate organizations. If you play the "revenge" angle in DFS tonight's 10-card slate is a doozy. Chris Paul is back in New Orleans, Eric Bledsoe faces the Suns, Malcolm Brogdon meets the Bucks, and Tom Thibodeau is back in Chicago for the second straight game. Even Victor Oladipo meets an OKC team that he spent a year with.

Ask somebody who's been divorced, not all partings are a bad thing. That being said, Frank Sinatra once noted, "the best revenge is massive success." I say let's have some DFS success on the first person's revenge success ..if possible.

Today's NBA Matchups

Sixers (-7) @ Hornets , O/U 223, 7:00 PM ET

Philly has won three straight, including on Sunday vs. the Pacers without Joel Embiid (back) who is again questionable. The Sixers need Embiid to take down the force that is Cody Zeller, who has a 12+ rebound double double in three of the last four.

Pacers @ Bucks (-8), O/U 232.5, 7:00 PM ET

This betting total seems high for a Pacers game, but Indiana beat Memphis 134-116 last night, and the Bucks have allowed 126+ points to two of their last three opponents.

Mavericks (-1.5) @ Hawks , O/U 222.5, 7:30 PM ET

Doncic vs. Trae would seem to be fun as the two were traded for each other in the 2018 draft. Doncic averages 22.5/9.5/4 vs. Atlanta while Young puts up 19/4/6.5 vs. Dallas. The big number is that the Hawks have won 11 of 13 in this series.

Knicks @ Bulls (-2), O/U 216, 8:00 PM ET

The Bulls won this meeting 110-102 on Monday, although the Knicks were playing on the back-to-back. Julius Randle had 23/11/7 in that game despite playing 35 minutes the day before.

Wizards @ Heat (-8.5), O/U 229.5,8:00 PM ET

The Heat becomes an instant target playing a Washington defense that is not only bad but also on the back-to-back. The Wizards have allowed 146 and 132 points in their last two games.

Clippers @ Cavs (-7.5), O/U 219, 8:00 PM ET

The Clippers could be vulnerable here after a hard fought 124-120 loss to the Nets last night. Kawhi Leonard played 39 minutes in that game and Paul George 35 so watch their statuses tonight.

Rockets (-7) @ Thunder, O/U 222.5, 8:00 PM ET

Houston won this matchup 136-106 on Monday, but will be without John Wall tonight for scheduled rest.

Timberwolves @ Spurs (-8.5), O/U 224,8:30 PM ET

This is a tough spot for a potentially shorthanded Timberwolves team that is also just 1-8 on the road this year. The Spurs just got thumped twice in a row by Memphis though and will be without Lamarcus Aldridge (hip).

Suns (-3.5) @ Pelicans, O/U 223,9:30 PM ET

The Suns have rattled off three straight behind some amazing play from Chris Paul, who has scored 20+ real points in three of four. He'll be chalk back in the Big Easy, especially vs. a Pelicans team allowing 123.3 ppg over their last three.

Celtics (-2) @ Kings, O/U 227,10:00 PM ET

Boston held on for a 111-107 win over Golden State last night, but will Kemba Walker play on the back to back? The Celtics are already without Marcus Smart (calf), which could lead to another big night for De'Aaron Fox, who had 38 points and 12 assists last time out vs. the Pelicans.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Chris Paul DK $8.3k | FD $8k

@ New Orleans

Aside from a 25fp output vs. Golden State on a back-to-back, Paul has a floor of 47 fp over his last five games and has broken 57+ three times. He's back in New Orleans against Pelicans backcourt defense that just allowed 38 points and 17 assists to De'Aaron Fox last time out.

Tyler Herro DK $6.8k | FD $6k

vs. Washington

He's listed as a GTD, but if Tyler Herro goes he's in a great spot vs. a Washington team offering very little defensive resistance right now. Four of the last five PGs have gone for 35+ fp vs. the Wiz, and Herro has had success against them too, tallying 31 points and 9 boards on January 9th.

Buddy Hield DK $6.6k | FD $6.7k

vs. Boston

Yes, he's one of the more frustrating DFS targets, but Hield still always gets his minutes and his shots. He also has a great matchup tonight vs. a Boston team that for whatever reason...he owns. Hield had 41 and 35 real points in two games vs. the Celtics last season and has gone for 52+ in three straight vs. the C's. Marcus Smart being out helps as well.

Jeremy Lamb DK $5.7k | FD $5.3k

@ Milwaukee

Nice FD pricing for a player who has turned into a consistent 28+ fp guy, which he's hit in 5 of 7 since coming off the injured list. Jeremy Lamb gets his without taking a ton of shots (51.4 FG%) but there should be more available in an up-paced game against Milwaukee tonight.

Immanuel Quickley DK $5.5k | FD $5.8

@ Chicago

I mean...he's hit 35+ in four of the last five. There's a falling off point coming - maybe, but Immanuel Quickley also put up a solid 16/6/7 line vs. the Bulls on Monday even while playing on a back-to-back.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Jaylen Brown DK $7.9k | FD $8.7k

@Sacramento

Jaylen Brown fell below projections with 39fp vs. Golden State, but it's not like he tanked with a 25. The Kings will try to push the pace tonight with Boston on the back-to-back, and if Kemba Walker sits for load management combined with the Marcus Smart injury that's an 8.7% usage and whopping 19.4fp boost for Brown.

Keldon Johnson DK $6.1k | FD $5.7k

vs. Minnesota

His two floor games during a recent stretch came in blowouts and one being on the back-to-back. The Spurs running away with it vs. the Timberwolves is a threat, but it's also wise to never assume a blowout. Johnson may not need that many minutes to hit value either, as LaMarcus Aldridge is out and Minnesota is horrible on their interior defense.

Thaddeus Young DK $5.9k | FD $5.8

vs. New York

Sell or HOLD? That's the big question for Thad Young as he's been a stat sheet filler with 39+ fp in three straight. The odds would be for a poorer game against a rested Knicks defense (and Young has been moved to C on FD), but he has 8+ assists and 8+ rebounds in three straight to go with a couple of double digit scoring efforts. I'll stay riding.

Josh Richardson DK $4.5k | FD $4.9k

at Atlanta

Richardson is SF eligible on DK, which makes him a solid play with nice upside vs. the Hawks. Atlanta's defense is improving this year, but so is Richardson who has expanded minutes the last two games after a long layoff for health and safety protocols. He had a 24/5/4 line (40fp) vs. Phoenix last game, and that's great potential in this price tier.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Clint Capela DK $8.8k | FD $8.8k

vs. Dallas

He hasn't hit 20+ real points since January 20th, but Clint Capela is still killing it on the boards with 13+ in five of his last six games. Simply put, you attack centers vs. the Mavs. Deandre Ayton had 34 rebounds in two games vs. the Mavs recently and Rudy Gobert 32 in a two game series.

Jakob Poeltl DK $4.6k | FD $4.8k

vs. Minnesota

It's time to test the "Bigs Bang Theory" of centers vs. Minnesota. The T'Wolves have allowed 58+ fp to three straight at the C spot and have yielded 40 rebounds in the last two games to Jarrett Allen and Deandre Ayton. The last time Jakob Poeltl logged 30+ minutes he responded with 13 points and 11 rebounds on January 16th vs. Houston. He's expected to start for LaMarcus Aldridge (hip) tonight.
