Top NBA Plays 2/4 | Tuesday Four Play

It's a 4-game slate on tap tonight, headlined by Damian Lillard trying to keep his incredible scoring streak going, Zion Williamson trying to get the ball more, and the Lakers resetting for a new week. Let's get after it.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Bucks @ Pelicans

It's a sky high betting total in New Orleans at 244.5. JJ Redick had 31 points on December 11th @ MIL, which is why you attack three point shooters vs. Milwaukee. It's the back court to target vs. the Pelicans, as they have allowed 40+ fp to 3 of the last 4 PGs.

Hornets @ Rockets

This one has blowout potential, as Charlotte was in action last night in Orlando. The Hornets continued to struggle vs. front court players as Nikola Vucevic went for 22/7 and Aaron Gordon 16/12. The Rockets front court is in disarray a bit though as Clint Capela is out (heel) and the subject of trade talks.

Trail Blazers @ Nuggets

"Dame Dolla" Damian Lillard is on a roll right now, averaging 48.8 REAL points over the last six games which has gone for 70+ fp in each. As teams game plan to stop Lillard, it should start to open up opportunities for other Portland players.

Spurs @ Lakers

The Lakers are ready to start a new week after an emotional whirlwind last week. L.A. is a dozen point favorite tonight with the Spurs on leg two of the back-to-back. The Lakers have also already gone 2-0 vs. the Spurs, both games were in San Antonio.

Guards

Jrue Holiday DK $6.9k | FD $7.5k

Jrue Holiday at under $7k is basically a 🔒Lock Spot🔒. He's hit 6X in 5 of the last 7 games since returning from an elbow injury. Holiday had 24fp Sunday at Houston, but he's back home and in a game with the Bucks that has a betting total of 244.5. Devin Booker has 48 and Bradley Beal 60fp in 2 of the last 3 games PGs have played against Milwaukee. This could be Holiday's swan song in New Orleans as well.

Holiday is in a great spot for a bounce back vs. Milwaukee

Malik Monk DK $4.3k | FD $4.6k

You have to take some risks to get Harden and / or Lillard in the lineup tonight and Malik Monk does have some upside. He's in the fast paced game with the Rockets tonight and Charlotte is on a back-to-back (and -14 underdogs). Devonte Graham and Terry Rozier both logged 36 minutes last night in the home loss to Orlando. Monk was only on the court 22 minutes, and he had a decent 11/5/4 line over that span. Monk has upside in extended minutes, as he did with 31 real points vs. the Bucks on January 24th. He's still taken at least a dozen shots in six in a row. Oh, and it's a 🎂Birthday Game🎂

James Harden DK $12k | FD $11.6k

Damian Lillard DK $10.3k | FD $10.9k

Got to get one of these two hot hands in the lineup. Everybody is waiting for the Damian Lillard crash game, but he just put up 79 fp on Utah Saturday coming off a back-to-back vs. the Lakers the night before. Possibly no Westbrook for the Rockets tonight which would boost Harden, but it could also be a blowout as Houston is a 14 point favorite vs. a Hornets team on 0 days rest. Lillard looks better vs. Denver - a little less expensive as well.

Forwards

P.J. Tucker DK $4.4k | FD $4.8k

Why can't we quit you P.J. Tucker? P.J. often masks himself as a great play for the night, like he does tonight, only to end up with a ceiling of about 15 fp. Tucker gets the start for the injured Clint Capela tonight, so you'd think he'd move into the pick-and-roll spot. You'd think. Russell Westbrook (thumb) is doubtful for Houston tonight and they are up against Charlotte - who is on a back to back and also 30th vs. the C. Basically, this is last call for Tucker to ever be rostered again.

Jerami Grant DK $5.7k | FD $6.1k

Jerami Grant was a $7.8k player on Sunday at Detroit, so getting him at under $6k tonight at home is a steal. Grant gets a pace boost vs. the Trail Blazers, which is great for a compiler. Grant has posted 14+ real points in 5 of the last 6, has at least 4 rebounds in each of those games, has a 7 block night over that span, and has two games with at least four assists. That has led him to go 6X tonight's price in 6 of the last 8.

Grant has been consistent with his upside as of late.

Kyle Kuzma DK $4k | FD $4.2k

No sense burning out Anthony Davis or LeBron James tonight in what should be a fairly easy Lakers win over the Spurs. San Antonio is a 12 point 'dog a night after a hard fought 105-108 loss to the Clippers. There's no travel for San Antonio, playing in at Staples for the 2nd straight night, but they are just 8-15 on the road this season. That bodes well for increased minutes for Kyle Kuzma, who had a 17 point 15 rebound night Friday. If Kuzma can approach 16+ shots, 6-7X this price is the floor.

Gotta like Kuzma with some extra rest.

Center

Hassan Whiteside DK $8.5k | FD $9.1k

Hassan Whiteside and Portland have a matchup with Denver tonight. The Nuggets would be smart to guard the perimeter and try to stop Damian Lillard from going off, which should leave Whiteside alone to feast on Nikola Jokic. Andre Drummond grabbed 17 boards vs. the Nuggets on Sunday and Whiteside is coming off a 17 point, 21 rebound game on Saturday vs. Rudy Gobert and Utah. Whiteside has a double-double in six straight.

People aren't as sold on Whiteside as you'd expect.
