Top NBA Plays 2/5| Forget What You Know
George Costanza would be killing it right now in NBA betting if he was doing his opposite theory. You've got Portland winning by 16 at Philly last night without Damian Lillard and Washington getting a rare win the night before despite being on the back-to-back vs. a fresh Heat squad.
Yes there's parity in the NBA and sure I'm bitter because I lost money on both of those games, but it just goes to show you never know in this league. By those metrics we should be expecting a big Cleveland win over Milwaukee tonight and the Raptors @ Nets game to end 94-90.
Let's check it out.
Today's NBA Matchups
Pelicans @ Pacers (-3) , O/U 226.5, 7:00 PM ET
New Orleans is riding high after a 123-101 win over Phoenix on Thursday. That offensive success could continue against an Indiana squad that gave up 130 to the Bucks in their last outing.
Bulls (-2) @ Magic, O/U 221.5, 7:00 PM ET
Chicago may seem like a strange favorite here, but the Magic have dropped four straight, allowing at least 115 points in each game. Could make the Bulls a nice target.
Bucks (-10.5) @ Cavs , O/U 228, 7:30 PM ET
This is a 🕯️Blowout Spot🕯️ with the Bucks a double digit favorite. When Milwaukee beat the Pacers by 20 on Wednesday they had 7 players score at least 11 points.
Raptors @ Nets (-5), O/U 243, 7:30 PM ET
Nice target here with that betting total, but it's warranted as the Nets have allowed 120+ in four straight, including 149 to the Wizards last Saturday.
Wizards @ Heat (-6.5), O/U 228.5,8:00 PM ET
Washington inexplicably won this matchup 103-100 on Wednesday even while playing on the back-to-back and without Russell Westbrook. Can the Heat pull a Red Dawn and "Avenge Me!" for the loss?
Jazz (-7.5) @ Hornets, O/U 222.5, 8:00 PM ET
Utah is on the back-to-back...technically, as last night's 21-point win over Atlanta was less than dramatic. Maybe Charlotte keeps this one close though, as they had won three straight prior to a 118-111 loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Timberwolves (-1.5) @ Thunder, O/U 219.5, 8:00 PM ET
Minnesota being favored here is...interesting. The T'Wolves are just 1-9 on the road this season, and OKC just beat Houston by 17 points even without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Pistons @ Suns (-8.5), O/U 215.5,9:00 PM ET
Phoenix laid an egg on Wednesday in falling by 21 points to New Orleans. They'll get a bounce back vs. a Detroit team that has lost three of their last four all by at least a dozen points.
Celtics @ Clippers (-5), O/U 221,10:00 PM ET
Boston is kind of in a rut, losing 3 of their last 4 including dropping a 116-111 meeting with Sacramento on Wednesday, albeit on a back-to-back after a win over Golden State. That puts the Clips' in a good spot, back home after a 6-game East Coast road swing (4-2).
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Zach LaVine DK $8.4k | FD $8.9k
@ Orlando
I think you go back to the well that is the Orlando backcourt defense here. The Magic allowed the big 54 real point game to Fred VanVleet in their last contest and have allowed a 🍔50 Burger🍔to Buddy Hield over their last four. It's a great spot for LaVine to get back in the groove as he's been held under 50fp in five straight.
Kyle Lowry DK $7.8k | FD $8.5k
@Brooklyn
Lost in the hub bub of FVV's 54 point game on Wednesday was the fact that Kyle Lowry had a triple double en route to 54fp. Lowry has 25 assists in the last two games, and there should be plenty of points vs. the Nets defense tonight with a betting total in the 240s.
Tyler Herro DK $6.5k | FD $6k
vs. Washington
It's hard to expect another bad game from Tyler Herro, whose only peripheral vs. Washington's 2nd worst defense was 2 rebounds. He still had 20 real points, but is an assist or 7 too much to ask from a guy who handles the ball that much?
Darius Garland DK $5.8k | FD $6.1k
vs. Milwaukee
Larry Nance is likely out for Cleveland (wrist) and Collin Sexton (neck) could join him. That would give Darius Garland a 5.87% usage and 10.81fp increase in what should be a fast paced game vs. the Bucks. Garland was getting a ton of shots anyway (17+ in 3 of 4) so I'm here.
Theo Maledon DK $5k | FD $4.8
vs. Minnesota
There's worse $5k plays than a starting PG vs. Minnesota's #28 defense vs. the position. Theo Maledon is the next man up for OKC with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and George Hill out. The rookie has scored in double figures in three of the last four and had 6 steals last time out vs. Houston.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Domantas Sabonis DK $8.6k | FD $8.8k
vs. New Orleans
If they want to keep pricing Sabonis under $9k we'll just keep taking him. He's taking super efficient shots (13-15 vs. Memphis on Tuesday) and grabbing boards (double digits in 8 of 10) and dishing dimes (5+ in 7 of 10).
Norman Powell DK $6.7k | FD $6.4k
@Brooklyn
You like the matchup with the Nets with a betting total of 241.5. Powell has come into his own a bit going for 38+ fp the last three games since OG Anunoby got hurt. He's got 15+ shots in 4 of the last 5.
Malik Beasley DK $6.4k | FD $6.5k
@ Oklahoma City
That's not bad pricing for a guy who has taken at least 17 shots in 7 of the last 8 games. OKC also ranks 29th defensively vs. the SF position, and will also be without their best defender as Lu Dort hurt his knee on Wednesday.
Bobby Portis DK $5.4k | FD $6.2k
at Cleveland
Send up the candle signal because we need 🕯️Blowout Bobby🕯️to get back here tonight. The Bucks have won by 28 and 20 points the last two games and during that time Portis has averaged 19.5/8.5 for consecutive 40+ fp outings. Milwaukee has Cleveland tonight as double digit favorites.
Bobby Portis as quietly been an unsung hero for the Bucks this season giving them 11 points and 7.5 rebounds off the bench in just 21 minutes...btw shooting a career high 55% from the field. Carry on...

Tonight's Center Position Notables
Bam Adebayo DK $8.8k | FD $8.8k
vs. Washington
Miami only scored 100 points on Wednesday and Bam Adebayo still had 46fp vs. Washington's poor interior defense (17/11/6). You'd like to see some more scoring because the rebounds should be there. The Wizards have allowed 15 boards to Enes Kanter, 14 to Clint Capela, and 18 to Steven Adams over their past 5 games.
Al Horford DK $6.1k | FD $6.3k
vs. Minnesota
Your turn Al Horford. Jakob Poeltl of the Spurs just showed that bigs vs. Minnesota are real...and it's spectacular as he posted 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks en route to 40fp. The T'Wolves gave up at least 58fp to C's in three straight prior and Horford gets a 6.73% usage and 9.18 fp increase with Hill, Gilgeous-Alexander, and Dort out for OKC.

🔥 SuperDraft Multiplier Must-Play
Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Darius Garland at 1.7x. Great multiplier for a guy who should get a ton of shots in a fast paced game against Milwaukee possibly with Larry Nance and Collin Sexton out.
