Guards
Damian Lillard, POR [vs GS] (DK: $9.3k, FD: $9.5k)
Lillard has been showing up a lot in the newsletter lately, mainly because he's been hot and his salary has been steady with a series of nice matchups. Tonight you'll have to choose between him, Harden, and Westbrook for guards and those guys are significantly more salary with large question marks, especially Harden who was 'rested' yesterday for his knee issue. The Thunder are large favorites against the Kings, so Westbrook shouldn't have to work up a sweat tonight. Lillard is a bit of a salary saver in what should be an actual game against the Heat who rank 25th against starting point guards.
Ben McLemore, MEM [vs MIL] (DK: $5.3k, FD: $5k)
Let's hope we don't jinx McLemore by putting him in here again. He's been quite consistent since landing the starting job due to injuries on the team, and nothing has changed. The Grizzlies are in tank mode, getting their veterans rest where they can and McLemore, Brooks and crew are getting a chance to show their stuff. McLemore a former first round draft pick, has actually been pretty decent, shooting over 50% from the field in the month of March so far. He's going to continue seeing over 30 minutes a game for as long as Evans and Harrison remain out.
Tony Parker, SA [@HOU] (DK: $3.9k, FD: $4k)
This is only a tournament play. The Spurs are without Aldridge and Manu Ginobili tonight, and are currently 13 point underdogs against a Rockets team that are going to destroy them. Patty Mills and Tony Parker are going to see more time on the court without Ginobili, both of which make for good options tonight. With the blowout situation Tony Parker is likely to play a decent amount tonight in his reserve role. He doesn't have huge upside but it's possible for him to get close to 30 fantasy points in these situations, which can save you a few bucks to afford the stars tonight.
Forwards
Paul George, OKC [vs SAC] (DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.8k)
You can save a bit of money tonight taking Paul George over someone like Giannis, who does not have an ideal situation today in a low scoring game. The Thunder are going to be able to easily beat the Kings tonight, so Westbrook doesn't have to carry the load which leaves Paul George and Steven Adams (if he plays) to do the heavy lifting tonight. The Kings are ranked 26th against starting small forwards allowing 30 fantasy points a game.
James Johnson, MIA [@POR] (DK: $4.4k, FD: $4.6k)
Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out already for this game which means more rotation work for James Johnson. He only played 20 minutes last game without Whiteside because of a blowout but should see more time on the court tonight against Portland. It's a tougher matchup but JJ has played well against Portland his last two games and they're going to need him to play well tonight if they want a chance at the win. Bam Adebayo is a good choice in a similar spot as well.
Rudy Gay, SA [@HOU] (DK: $4.7k, FD: $4.4k)
The Spurs are without LaMarcus Aldridge and Manu Ginobili tonight, which should open the door to more play time for Rudy Gay tonight. This game also has a huge blowout factor as the Rockets are favored by 13 points and the Spurs are without their best players. Rudy Gay has a fairly high ceiling when he gets the time on court and tonight could be that night, even though it's a bit tougher matchup against the Rockets bench who ranks 9th overall.
Centers
Marc Gasol, MEM [vs MIL] (DK: $7.5k, FD: $7.8k)
This is right around the top edge of what you can pay for Marc Gasol, but he's coming off a rest day and should be ready to do work tonight against the Bucks. The Grizzlies replacement crew is likely starting to feel a little more like an actual starting lineup at this point, which could help open up things for Gasol tonight. They haven't won in forever but who knows maybe they'll surprise the Bucks tonight with Gasol leading the charge.
Pau Gasol, SA [@HOU] (DK: $5.7k, FD: $6k)
As mentioned twice already, Aldridge is out tonight which means it's time for Pau Gasol to step up and carry the heavy workload tonight. He's got a ceiling around 50 fantasy points, but the problem is tonight it's likely going to be an early blowout against the Rockets so Gasol might not get the same number of minutes he would normally get in this situation. He's still a solid play, but that high ceiling is likely not in play tonight.
Jusuf Nurkic, POR [vs MIA] (DK: $5.6k, FD: $6k)
Nurkic will get the face the Whiteside-less Miami Heat tonight which vastly improves his matchup. He's also coming into tonight with 2 days of rest after playing limited minutes in each of the last 2 games, so unless there is a blowout there is a good chance he can see close to 30 minutes tonight. He's also seeing a nice salary drop below his unplayablely high $7k salary just a few weeks ago.
