Top NBA Plays 3/13 | Load Management

You've got to really watch your lineups in DFS. This is where the LineStar "Lineup Builder & Optimizer" can really come in handy. Last night, for example, you would have gotten a notification that Danilo Gallinari was out for load management for the Clippers and with a click of the green optimize button you could have found a replacement in seconds based on a number of criteria such as daily matchup, projection, value, or ownership. Something to think about and a nice tool that can only help in your quest for daily fantasy success.

Take advantage of the lineup optimizer tab.

Tonight's Headline Games

Kevin Durant is out Wednesday vs. the Rockets with an ankle injury. The LineStar usage matrix shows a +11.29 fp boost for Klay Thompson when KD sits for the Warriors.

The Grizzlies aren't your typical fantasy stalwarts but they're up against a Hawks team that is 29th vs. the PG, and 30th vs. the SG and SF.

If you're looking for contrarian plays, tonight's game between the Pistons and Heat has an O/U of just 210.

The Nets could be a team to target, as they could be in an upset spot at the Thunder. OKC is 23rd or worse defensively vs. four positions.

The Nets are looking like a solid team to target on Wednesday.

Guards

Klay Thompson (DK: $7,200 FD: $8,000 Y! $32) Ownership: 17.25%

A) no Kevin Durant and B) up against James Harden's defense? That's a yes, please to Klay Thompson tonight. The Warriors SG has missed a couple games with a knee injury, but in two outings since returning he's scored 39 and 28 points - and that was with Durant in the lineup.

Thompson gets a boost with Durant out of the lineup.

Mike Conley (DK: $7,800 FD: $9,200 Y! $31) Ownership 9.69%

Mike Conley has been much better at home compared to the road lately but that can be offset by going up against Trae Young's defense in Atlanta tonight. Young has allowed 50+ point fantasy nights to Elfrid Payton and Derrick White over the last three games and Conley has put together a string of 54, 54, and 47 fantasy point outings. Memphis has a 5 possession pace increase vs. the Hawks and the Grizzlies are also well rested, which boosts Conley's production another 16%.

Conley has big game potential Wednesday vs. Atlanta

Allen Crabbe (DK: $4,000 FD: $4,300 Y! $11) Ownership 2.45%

With two high priced guards already on the roster, it's important to find some value in one of the spots. Allen Crabbe might seem like a chase after his 14 point, 10 rebound night vs. Detroit on Monday but he still provides incredible value as a guard vs. Oklahoma City. Avery Bradley has a 47.25 fp night vs. OKC in the last 10 days and CJ McCollum has gone for 36.25 and Royce O'Neale 34.5. Demarre Carroll is out for the Nets on Wednesday, which provides a bit more of an uptick for Crabbe as well.

Forwards

Eric Gordon (DK: $5,100 FD: $5,600 Y!: $18) Ownership 7.35%

There seems to be some solid upside with Eric Gordon at home vs. a Warriors team that must replace Kevin Durant at the SF position. It's actually possible that Alfonzo McKinnie is a defensive upgrade over Durant, as Golden State had just given up at least 32 fantasy points to 4 of 5 small forwards. Gordon has netted 22 and 26 points the past two games and also has a 32 point night through six games in March. On February 23rd vs. Golden State, Gordon scored 25 points, but James Harden was not in the lineup for that one.

Terrance Ross (DK: $4,900 FD: $5,600 Y!: $16) Ownership 7.8%

The 'Heartbreak Kid' Terrance Ross seems to have put an 8 point fantasy game behind him, as he's gone for 30+ in back to back contests. Aaron Gordon missed practice Tuesday with sore ribs and Wes Iwundu is limited by a toe injury. That's a good thing for Ross, who has averaged 14.5 fga the last two games.

Here's hoping the up and down Ross has an 'up' night.

Bobby Portis (DK: $6,200 FD: $6,900 Y! $24) Ownership 14.92%

Bobby Portis loves a challenge and he'll get one Wednesday up against Nikola Vucevic and the Magic. Orlando has held 3 of the last 5 C's to under 30 fantasy points but Portis is on a roll. He's getting a ton of shots since moving into the starting C spot (12, 18, 16, 12, 18 the last five). Portis has also grabbed at least a dozen rebounds in 5 of the last 9.

Center

Rudy Gobert (DK: $8,200, FD; $9,800 Y!:$34 ) Ownership 9.72%

Phoenix has been playing solid vs. the C lately, but overall, they allow 36.7 fppg to the center position that includes over 9 rebounds. Rudy Gobert should be able to approach at least a 50 point fantasy night on Wednesday. He's gone for 43+ in 3 of 4. Gobert had 16 and 12 when Utah played the Suns in February but it was a 28 point Jazz win. The Suns have played a lot better as of late, actually winning 5 of 7.

Utility Player

Dennis Schroder (DK:$5,600 FD:$5,300 Y!: $18) Ownership 16.6%

Tonight's lineup leaves $6,600 for the utility spot. The upside on Dennis Schroder is very nice here, as OKC possibly eases up on their starters with a visit to Indiana coming on Thursday. Schroder has 14+ points, 4+ rebounds, and 4+ assists in five straight games, so he can compile some stats in a variety of ways.

There's a solid 6-game card on tap, which is good for a Thursday. Until then, check out Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) on Twitter for more NBA betting talk and DFS news.
