Top NBA Plays 3/17| ☘️☘️ Ride the Celtics, Obviously?
We could all use a little luck of the Irish tonight, or at least an excuse to not overindulge on the Jameson. There's plenty of opportunities on this 10-game slate though. Do you target (St.) Patty (Bush)Mills? Draymond GREEN? Tobias Harris with Proper #12 on his jersey? Let's check it out:
Today's NBA Matchups
Raptors (-2.5) @ Pistons , O/U 220, 7:00 PM ET
Toronto is still ravaged by quarantine, with OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, and Fred VanVleet among those still sidelined. I still don't think Detroit is a target though because they are that bad/boring.
Nets (-3.5) @ Pacers, O/U 232.5, 7:00 PM ET
Brooklyn has rattled off five straight wins, and have the league's #1 scoring offense. The Pacers are back home after a quick 3-game West Coast swing, working Caris LeVert into the lineup the last two.
Bucks (-6) @ Sixers, O/U 235, 7:00 PM ET
This matchup of two of the top three teams in the East loses a bit of luster with Embiid sidelined with a bruised knee. Milwaukee is also just 10-9 on the road, and a Sixers win despite being shorthanded wouldn't be that shocking.
Kings @ Wizards (-3), O/U 245.5, 7:00 PM ET
Definitely a target game here as Sacramento has the worst defense in the league and Washington the 4th worst. The Wizards run the fastest tempo (Sacramento 12th) so pick your position here.
Celtics (-9) @ Cavs, O/U 217, 8:00 PM ET
The Celtics seem to get a good draw on St. Patrick's Day, as Cleveland has fallen back into their old ways with four straight losses. Boston is on the back to back after a tough 117-109 home loss to Utah last night, but so are the Cavs - who have been held under 100 points in all three games since the all-star break.
Spurs @ Bulls (-1.5), O/U 226.5, 8:00 PM ET
Chicago is a slight favorite despite being on the short turnaround following last night's 123-102 win over OKC. The Spurs continue to be without DeMar DeRozan and are waiting for LaMarcus Aldridge to be traded, but have still won two of the last three.
Warriors (-12.5) @ Rockets, O/U 226.5, 8:00 PM ET
The very, very, very bad Rockets (losers of 17 straight) playing on the back to back after a 119-107 loss to Atlanta last night. Golden State target? Golden State blowout?
Heat (-1.5) @ Grizzlies, O/U 220.5, 9:00 PM ET
Six of the top seven teams in the East are all riding at least a 4-game win streak right now. Miami is one of those squads, rattling off five straight and going 9-1 in their last 10. The Heat are on the b2b, but this spread also seems low against a Grizzlies team that has lost three straight. Trap potential 🐀🧀
Hornets @ Nuggets (-6.5), O/U 229.5, 9:00 PM ET
Charlotte is on a sneaky 4-game win streak, but all three wins after the all-star break have been at home. It looks like a Jokic night, especially after the Hornets just gave up a near 🍔60 Burger🍔to Richaun Holmes on Monday.
Clippers (-2.5) @ Mavericks, O/U 226.5, 9:30 PM ET
A rematch of Monday's game that LAC won 109-99. Luka Doncic had 25/10/16 in that meeting.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Russell Westbrook DK $10.4k | FD $10.4k
vs. Sacramento
It sounds weird to say but a triple-double could be the floor here for Russ. The Kings defense is that bad, allowing 120+ to five straight teams not named the Houston Rockets.
Collin Sexton DK $7.4k | FD $7.7k
vs. Boston
Ownership should be down for Collin Sexton, as he's struggled with less than 30fp for three straight games after the all-star break. That's good though, because you play SGs vs. Boston right now, especially with the Celtics on the back to back - even on ☘️ St. Patrick's Day.
Caris LeVert DK $6.8k | FD $4.4
vs. Brooklyn
On DK no way, but that's not bad FD pricing for Caris LeVert playing his revenge game against his old squad Brooklyn. We still don't know what LeVert will be with Indiana as he's played only two games since coming over from the Nets. He's had 23 and 30 fp though, numbers which should only rise as he gets more comfortable with the system.
Terry Rozier DK $6.6k | FD $6.5
@ Denver
Terry Rozier is a launcher (13+ fga in six straight games) and how much does that increase in his 🎂Birthday Game🎂?
Jordan Poole DK $3.5k | FD $3.6
@ Houston
You have to assume every game against Houston is a blow out right now, and that's especially true with the Rockets on the back to back. That means a lot of extra minutes for Jordan Poole, who has already taken double digit shots in four straight games.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Giannis Antetokounmpo DK $11k | FD $11.4k
@ Philadelphia
70+ fp might be the new norm for Giannis now that Jrue Holiday is back. Antetokounmpo has a triple-double in three straight games, and tonight faces a Philly squad missing Embiid.
Tobias Harris DK $8.4k | FD $7.8k
vs. Milwaukee
Harris is on the back to back, but you have to ride him right now with the 6.04% usage and +12.07 fp boost without Embiid. Harris had 30 real points last night vs. the slow pace/good defense Knicks, and now gets the up-tempo Bucks in a game with a betting total of 235.
Norman Powell DK $7.5k | FD $7.7k
@ Detroit
This could be the last juice to squeeze out of Norman Powell, as all the missing players for Toronto are close to returning. Powell has gone for 40+ fp in 4 of the last 6, including 36 real points vs. Detroit on March 3rd.
Will Barton DK $5.4k | FD $5.5k
vs. Charlotte
Is Will Barton riding a hot streak right now or is this the norm? He's hit 6X in 5 of the last 7 at this price, and the Hornets are 28th defensively vs. the SF position.
Justise Winslow DK $4.8k | FD $4.7k
vs. Miami
Can Justise Winslow approach a 30fp game against his old team Miami? Winslow should be fresh after sitting out leg two of a back-to-back on Monday and plays a Heat team that is on 0 days rest after beating Cleveland last night. Miami is just a -1.5 point favorite to a big game from the Grizzlies.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Nikola Jokic DK $10.8k | FD $11.2k
vs. Charlotte
This is very much a hit or miss spot for Jokic, as he didn't break 45 fp in two games vs. the Hornets last season. You can't be scared of Cody Zeller's defense though, especially after Charlotte just allowed almost 60 points to Richaun Holmes at the C spot. Jokic has hit 60+ in 5 of 7, and that should be the floor here.
Jakob Poeltl DK $5.9k | FD $5.6k
@ Chicago
Chicago is usually pretty bad vs. the C position, but that's got to be escalated while playing on the back to back. The Bulls allowed 20 points and 16 rebounds to Moses Brown (?) of the Thunder last night so Poeltl has some upside coming off a 14 & 12 game on Monday.

🔥 SuperDraft Multiplier Must-Play
Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Collin Sexton at 1.55X. Boston is bad vs. the SG as it is lately, but they are also on the back to back on Wednesday.
