Top NBA Plays 3/19 | Points Night

On paper at least, today's 6 game NBA DFS slate is looking like there's going to be a lot of points to be had. There are three O/U's in the 230's plus a Golden State / Minnesota contest where defense is optional. Philadelphia's #4 scoring offense is involved in the other game and the Clippers #5 scoring attack in the final one of the night, so each contest on the docket has potential for some big offensive outputs.

Tonight's Headline Games

The Hornets are 2.5 GB from the 8 seed in the East but have gone 3-7 over their last 10. The Sixers have won 4 in a row, however, but are just -1 road favorites. Big night for Charlotte players?

Atlanta is 30th defensively vs. the PG, SG, and SF and they've got Houston coming to town on Tuesday. The Rockets have 120 implied points but is that on the low side?

If you're an 'under' bettor, the matchups in the Pacers / Clippers games are pointing to not a lot of scoring. LA is somehow coming in at #1 vs. the PG, SG, and SF.

Another contest that would appear to be high scoring on paper but might not actually be is the Nets / Kings matchup. Brooklyn does a good job of containing the SG and neither team has a high scoring C - which would be the opponents' weakness.

Could Brooklyn / Sacramento fall well below the number on Tuesday?

Guards

Klay Thompson (DK: $7,300 FD: $8,400 Y! $34) Ownership: 23.31%

The price is creeping up there a little higher than you'd like but there are still plenty of opportunities for a ceiling game for Klay Thompson vs. Minnesota. The Timberwolves have allowed 38+ fantasy points to 4 of the last 5 SG's they've faced, including a 47 to NYK's Damyean Dotson and 67 to Bradley Beal. The Warriors are just 5-5 over their last 10, but Thompson is still getting shots with 18, 21, 23, 22, and 22 attempts his last five games. Golden State is in a B2B, but Kevin Durant and Demarcus Cousins could both miss Tuesday's contest.

Thompson has a nice upside vs. the Timberwolves backcourt.

Tyus Jones (DK: $5,200 FD: $4,700 Y! $13) Ownership 8.13%

If Golden State does come out flat today, it should mean a big game for Minnesota's Tyus Jones who is filling in again for the injured Jeff Teague. Steph Curry has done a better job defending opposing PG's lately, but he's still on the B2B and logged 37 minutes vs. the Spurs Monday. Jones didn't even score Sunday vs. the Rockets, but he's back home tonight. Plus, you don't need a lot of scoring from Jones for a 30-35+ fp night, just feed the ball to Karl-Anthony Towns who has a very favorable matchup.

Spencer Dinwiddie (DK: $6,000 FD: $5800 Y! $23) Ownership 12.88%

Just because the Kings / Nets game may be a bit lower than expected doesn't mean there isn't going to be any scoring at all. One Nets player who could really thrive vs. the Kings' up-paced offense is Spencer Dinwiddie. He's a bench player, but he still gets his shots (16, 16, 17, 11, 14, 21 attempts last six). The Nets have 114 implied points in this one and Dinwiddie should return to the 40-plus club.

Forwards

Khris Middleton (DK: $6,700 FD: $7700 Y!: $28) Ownership 16.88%

"Mr. Floor" may have a chance to go upstairs more starting Tuesday. Khris Middleton has scored 38+ fp in three straight games but now the Bucks are dealing with the loss of Malcolm Brogdon for up to two months. Not only that, Giannis Antetokounmpo is fighting an ankle injury and why burn up your franchise player in a game with the Lakers? Let's see what Middleton can do as "the man."

How come some flooring company in Milwaukee hasn't scooped up Middleton as a spokesman?

Kyle Kuzma (DK: $5,000 FD: $6,500 Y!: $26) Ownership 13.32%

Believe it or not, the Lakers should keep things relatively close tonight even as +12.5 underdogs at Milwaukee. The Bucks are on leg one of a B2B and might shut down Giannis Antetokounmpo to rest an ankle injury (Cleveland is next too). This should mean at least a solid night for Kyle Kuzma, as the Bucks rank 27th vs. the PF, allowing 32.8 fppg. Kuzma's value also increases as this will likely be an up-pace game (+21%).

Jeremy Lamb (DK: $6,100 FD: $6,500 Y! $26) Ownership 15.9%

Jeremy Lamb is eligible at the F position and there are great things expected from Charlotte tonight as they fight for their playoff lives. Philadelphia is on leg one of a B2B and they are undoubtedly looking more towards Wednesday's tilt at home vs. Boston. The spread seems 'off' in this game, as it's essentially a PK despite the Hornets losing 4 of 6 and Philly being on a 4 game win streak. This points to a Charlotte win and what should be some solid production from Lamb and Kemba Walker. Lamb had 20 points and 10 boards when the teams met up in November.

Charlotte is serving upset special with a side of Lamb chops.

Center

Marvin Bagley III (DK: $5,400, FD; $6,200 Y!:$24 ) Ownership 11.04%

It's time to find value at the C position and perhaps nobody has a better 40 fp potential for the price than the Kings' Marvin Bagley III. Yes, he played just 21 minutes vs. the Bulls on Sunday but that might have been due more to a 20+ point lead rather than a minutes restriction. Plus, Bagley still got off 14 shots, grabbed 9 boards, and finished with a 37 point fantasy night. The Nets are pretty solid up front, but with the right usage, Bagley should be able to have a big night.

Utility Player

Trae Young (DK:$7,200 FD:$7,900 Y!: $36) Ownership 19.02%

There's $7,400 left in the pot for the utility position, which is just enough to take a chance on Trae Young tonight. The Rockets / Hawks game could turn into a glorified version of h-o-r-s-e between Young and James Harden and Young has home court honors. The Atlanta rookie went 8-12 from three point range and dished out 8 assists when the Hawks last faced the Rockets in late February. Young has been held largely in check the last 8 games, but you can bet he's getting up for a matchup with the Beard.

That's a wrap for the Tuesday Daily Dribble where there's some value on players with not-so-big names. It's your typical loaded Wednesday slate on tap tomorrow with 9 games to cipher through. Until then, check out Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) on Twitter for more NBA betting talk and DFS news.
