Top NBA Plays 3/1|The 1400000
John Wall had an impressive night last with 14 points...and that's it:
0 rebounds
0 assists
0 steals
0 blocks
0 3PM
He was closing in on the 14000000 but also had 5 turnovers to end up with 12 fp. $8.3k for Wall on the back to back anybody? It's a 7-game Monday slate to ring in March, let's see who "Mr. Peripheral" will be tonight.
Today's NBA Matchups
Mavs (-6.5) @ Magic , O/U 221, 7:00 PM ET
The Dallas defense stepped up on Saturday, holding the high-scoring Nets to just 98 points. They'll have another easy go of it vs. the Magic who have been held under 100 in two of the last three.
Lineup Notes: They're calling Kristaps Porzingis (back) probable.
Pacers @ Sixers (-4.5), O/U 223, 7:00 PM ET
Indiana has dropped three straight and needed OT to beat Minnesota in their only win over the last 5. The Sixers overlooked Cleveland in an OT loss at home on Saturday - the reason this spread seems a bit low.
Lineup Notes: Malcolm Brogdon (knee) is questionable, Tobias Harris (knee) is questionable. Joel Embiid (ankle) is questionable.
Nuggets (-5) @ Bulls , O/U 226.5, 8:00 PM ET
There was a time when Chicago was one of the worst front court defenses in the league, but they've held Karl-Anthony Towns to 8 rebounds and Deandre Ayton to 7 the last two. Is the value on Jokic affected though after he posted yet another triple double on Saturday.
Jazz (-7) @ Pelicans, O/U 235.5, 8:00 PM ET
The highest betting total of the night despite Utah having the #3 defense in the NBA. Utah actually has the #3 scoring offense in the league too though, and New Orleans hit 120+ in 5 of the last 7.
Nets (-5) @ Spurs, O/U 233.5, 8:30 PM ET
Brooklyn started to believe their own hype a bit but was humbled in a 98-115 loss that snapped an 8-game win streak. The Spurs are still a bit thin with COVID, but managed a 3-point win over the Pelicans Saturday.
Cavs @ Rockets (-2.5), O/U 216.5, 9:00 PM ET
It's pretty bad when Cleveland can look at you and say, "you guys got issues." The Rockets had just 10 assists in yesterday's 49-point loss to the Grizzlies, (their 11th straight) yet are still favored vs. a Cavs team that has won three straight? Do we have a 🧀Betting Trap🐀
Hornets @ Trail Blazers (-6.5) , O/U 232.5, 8:30 PM ET
The banged up Hornets were able to outlast Sacramento 127-126 yesterday, but that's a fast paced game to have a short turnaround on. P.J. Washington dropped 42 points, but also in 42 minutes. The Blazers have also had the last two off after a Friday night loss to the Lakers.
Lineup Notes: Cody Zeller (hip) and Gordon Hayward (hand) are doubtful while Devonte Graham (knee) remains out.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Donovan Mitchell DK $8.6k | FD $8.3k
@New Orleans
Ben Simmons has great value in this spot IF Embiid and Harris sit. Donovan Mitchell is the more consistent play though, posting a 44fp floor in 5 of the last 6 games. Mitchell also plays New Orleans (26th vs. the SG) while Philly plays Indiana (albeit who have struggled vs. the PG lately).
Coby White DK $6.3k | FD $5.9k
vs. Nuggets
Coby White is streaky, but at least he keeps launching with 16+ fga in three straight. He's got a nice matchup with the Nuggets, who have struggled vs. great PGs lately. White isn't exactly great, but his price inches him close to 6X tonight.
Gary Trent, Jr. DK $6k | FD $5.5k
vs. Charlotte
Trent is launching with 16+ field goal attempts in four straight and has a great matchup with a Hornets squad that has allowed 39+ fp to five straight SGs. In the last week, Charlotte has allowed 33 real points to Devin Booker, 27 to Kelly Oubre, Jr., and 41 to Buddy Hield just last night.
Malik Monk DK $5.5| FD $4.9k
@ Portland
It's time to jump off the Terry Train tonight and ride the hot streak that is Malik Monk. Charlotte is on the b2b, but Monk played just 31 minutes in the win over the Kings, scoring 20+ real points for the 4th straight. Monk has landed in the perfect lineup three straight, and Charlotte is likely still without Graham, Zeller, and Hayward (+13.11 fp boost).
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
DeMar DeRozan DK $8.4k | FD $8k
vs. Brooklyn
DeRozan showed 'rest' in the rust vs. rest everlong battle. He had 32 points and 11 assists in his first game in almost two weeks. hitting 55fp despite grabbing just one rebound. A projected high scoring matchup with Brooklyn's #6 pace is worth going back to, especially as the Spurs still have five players on the COVID list.
Michael Porter, Jr. DK $7k | FD $6.5k
@ Chicago
The Bulls have allowed a 30+ fp night to Jarred Vanderbilt (12.75 avg) and Jae'Sean Tate in their last three games, giving hope that Michael Porter, Jr. can blow by his 31 point projection tonight. Marvin Bagley III almost had a 50 burger from the PF spot vs. the Bulls in the last 10 games. Porter has a double-double in three straight.
Dean Wade DK $4k | FD $3.7
@ Houston
There's a new D-Wade in town, and the Cavs F has been a rebounding machine with 18 in the last two. He's earning playing time with 20+ during the Cavs three game win streak, which should get him some time against the undersized P.J. Tucker tonight, who has moved to the PF spot for Houston. Cleveland could even have blowout minutes vs. an atrocious Rockets team.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Nikola Vucevic DK $10.2k | FD $11k
vs. Dallas
The Mavs have been playing better vs. the bigs lately, but they've only faced one C who has logged over 28 minutes in the last five - and that was Valanciunas who grabbed 15 rebounds. Vucevic has gone for 34 mpg or better in 7 of the last 10, and that court time vs. a hobbled Porzingis is worth a play.
Dwight Howard DK $3.5k | FD $4.2k
vs. Indiana
Dwight Howard can go for 30+ fp any time Embiid (and Tobias Harris) sits (GTD), as he did with 14/12 on February 15th vs. the Jazz.
