Top NBA Plays 3/22| 🏀Everywhere You Look
Holy hoops! There's basketball everywhere today with the NCAA, CBI, and not to mention a nice 8-game NBA slate. It's been like 12 hours of buckets the last four days and although there's a crash coming tomorrow, let's get in one more fix.
Today's NBA Matchups
Kings (-4) @ Cavaliers, O/U 224, 7:30 PM ET
Sure the Cavs are playing on the back to back, but should the Kings be favored over anybody right now on the road? Cleveland could be a sneaky target vs. a Sacramento team that has allowed 119+ in 5 of 7 and also wrap up a 6-game East Coast swing tonight.
Thunder @ Timberwolves (-3), O/U 226.5, 8:00 PM ET
Speaking of strange favorites, Minnesota is giving points despite still being in the last place in a Western Conference that features the Rockets. The T'Wolves have beaten New Orleans, Portland, and Phoenix over their last six games so maybe things are turning around. OKC is also on the b2b after only beating Houston by 2 points last night.
Lineup Notes: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (shoulder) is questionable.
Hornets @ Spurs (-5), O/U 223, 8:30 PM ET
Charlotte is a non-target on their current West Coast swing, being held to 105 points or less the last three games. The Hornets have given up 116+ in four straight though so that could put San Antonio guys in play.
Lineup Notes: LaMelo Ball (wrist) is out, Cody Zeller (shin) and Terry Rozier (hip) are questionable.
Jazz (-9) @ Bulls, O/U 228, 9:00 PM ET
Chicago plays on the back to back while Utah has been off since Friday. Even so, that number looks a bit on the high side considering the Jazz are 5-5 over their last 10 and wrapping up a 5-game road trip. The Bulls' 14-point win in Detroit last night wasn't that exhausting either.
Raptors (-8.5) @ Rockets, O/U 221.5, 9:00 PM ET
Well, the good news is that somebody has to win in this game. Toronto has lost 8 straight, which to Houston fans looks like a hot streak as the Rockets have lost 20 in a row now. Both teams are on the b2b as well so this one could get 🤡Fun Bad🤡 which could actually be 🔨Accidentally Great🔨for DFS purposes.
Lineup Notes: John Wall and Victor Oladipo both played 35+ last night meaning they are likely out for rest.
Celtics @ Grizzlies (-2), O/U 220, 9:00 PM ET
Boston has been consistently inconsistent lately losing three of their last four including defeats to the Kings and Cavs while only beating the Magic. The Celtics are also on 0 days rest, which puts Kemba Walker out of the lineup.
Pacers @ Bucks (-5.5), O/U 231.5, 9:00 PM ET
This game opened at Bucks -10 as they ride a 6-game win streak, but that plummeted when Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as doubtful with a knee injury.
Hawks @ Clippers (-6.5), O/U 225.5, 10:00 PM ET
Atlanta has an 8-game win streak bookended by victories over the Heat and Lakers. The meat of that sandwich is pretty unimpressive though taking down Houston, Cleveland, Sacramento, Toronto, Orlando, and OKC. We'll find out if the Hawks are for real tonight vs. the Clippers who are 14-6 at home.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Trae Young DK $8.8k | FD $8.7k
@ Clippers
Trae Young has a bit of a tricky quad, but he's probably tonight in what is suddenly a solid matchup of PGs vs. the Clippers. LAC has allowed three straight 40+ fp games to opposing PGs since the Patrick Beverley injury, and Young is at his lowest price since January 15th.
Jrue Holiday DK $6.8k | FD $6.8k
vs. Pacers
Jrue Holiday gets a 7% usage and a 15fp bump without Antetokounmpo and gets a matchup with his brothers while Indiana plays on the back to back. Yep.
Devonte Graham DK $4.8k | FD $4.3
@ San Antonio
You go in here, especially if Terry Rozier joins Cody Zeller and LaMelo Ball on the injury report which would give Devonte Graham an 11.4 fp boost. The Spurs have allowed a 29 point, 8 assist outing to Darius Garland and 21 real points to Jrue Holiday the last two PGs they've faced.
Grayson Allen DK $4.1k | FD $4k
vs. Boston
SGs vs. Boston could be back tonight as the Celtics play on the back to back. Grayson Allen has been knocking on the door of 30fp in three of the last four games, which would be over 7X at this price.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Domantas Sabonis DK $9k | FD $9.1k
@ Milwaukee
Ownership should be down on Sabonis playing on the back to back, but he's logged 43 and 38 minutes in his last two on 0 days rest. A matchup with Milwaukee's #4 pace provides upside, as does the fact that the Bucks are without Giannis Antetokounmpo. Sabonis has gone for 59 fp in two of his last four vs. Milwaukee.
DeMar DeRozan DK $8.5k | FD $8.9k
vs. Charlotte
Pick a position vs. this Hornets defense. DeMar DeRozan seems to have rounded back into form after missing four games after the passing of his father. DeRozan had 22/3/13 vs. the Bucks on Saturday and should be nearing a similar 50+ outing vs. Charlotte's #29 defense vs. the SF.
Aleksej Pokusevski DK $4.9k | FD $4.3k
@ Minnesota
Great spot for Aleksej Pokusevski vs. a Minnesota team that is 20th defensively vs. the PF position. Pokusevski has 8+ boards in 3 of the last 4, and the T'Wolves are the 4th worst rebounding team in the league. There's also 28.2% usage freeing up with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander out of the lineup.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Rudy Gobert DK $8.4k | FD $8.3k
@ Chicago
Rudy Gobert is a GTD, but he also was on Friday night and ended up playing 35 minutes and grabbing 16 rebounds. The Jazz have had the last two nights off for the big man to rest, and he's got a Chicago team that has allowed 15+ rebounds to 3 of the last 4 C's they've faced.
Christian Wood DK $8k | FD $8.1k
vs. Toronto
It's hard to 💖Love💖Christian Wood tonight playing on 0 days rest shortly after missing 17 games due to an ankle injury. With Oladipo, Wall, and half the rest of the team sitting tonight there aren't a lot of other options vs. a Toronto team that has lost 8 straight.
