Top NBA Plays 3/23| Coincidence...?

Kyrie Irving did not make the West Coast trip with the Nets this week. Fans also point out that it's his birthday today. Is the 'personal issues' just a Super Sweet 29 party? It would've been a big night for Kyrie against the Portland back court defense, but welcome to 90% James Harden ownership (who is also a GTD by the way).

It's a Tuesday 6-pack, and things will probably be a little busier in the DFS world tonight unless people are intently scouring over their CBI brackets. Let's see what we got going on.

Today's NBA Matchups

Nuggets (-7.5) @ Magic, O/U 217, 7:00 PM ET

Denver might want to save a spot on the plane ride home as they are considered 'serious contenders' to land Aaron Gordon, who has formally requested a trade out of Orlando. A lot of teams have pulled guys until a trade can be made, but does it really even matter in this matchup?

Wizards @ Knicks (-2.5), O/U 224, 7:30 PM ET

Hard to tell which team is going to control the tempo here. The Knicks have been involved in three straight games that have ended at under 201 total points. The Wizards have put up 119+ in 4 of the last 5.

Lakers @ Pelicans (-6.5), O/U 221, 7:30 PM ET

The first true glimpse at life without Lebron James begins tonight for the Lakers. He was injured Saturday 10 minutes into the game with Atlanta, and then L.A. had to play on the back to back Sunday. We'll see true usage tonight vs. the Pelicans' 3rd worst defense.

Suns (-1) @ Heat, O/U 215.5, 8:00 PM ET

The Suns are 8-2 over their last 10 and should have a big night vs. a Heat team that has lost three straight. This is DFS ugly though. Phoenix has held 3 of 4 opponents to 101 points or less, Miami 4 of the last 6 to under 100.

Sixers (-3.5) @ Warriors, O/U 220.5, 10:00 PM ET

Tough one to call with some big names missing (Draymond Green also a GTD), but oddsmakers project it to be low scoring.

Nets @ Trail Blazers (-4), O/U 234.5, 10:00 PM ET

James Harden is questionable (neck) tonight. If he joins Irving and Landry Shamet on the pine tonight that's a thin backcourt to defend Lillard and McCollum. If Harden plays though, that's a Portland team that allowed 58 real points to the Dallas backcourt on Sunday.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Damian Lillard DK $10k | FD $9.4k

vs. Nets

We still don't know the true Damian Lillard we'll get with McCollum back in the lineup as he has a 75 fp and a 28fp over the four games that C.J. has been back. The 28 came in a 40-point blowout loss but did drop Lillard's price $1k from last week, and he's got a shorthanded Nets squad tonight

Will Barton DK $5.8k | FD $5.9k

@ Orlando

Will Barton will get minutes at SG and SF tonight, and Orlando is pretty horrible vs. both of them. The Magic have allowed roughly 30fp to four straight SGs and 34+ to three straight SFs. Just a solid matchup.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker DK $4.4k | FD $4.9

vs. Lakers

Lonzo Ball missed the last game for New Orleans with a hip flexor, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker stepped in with 20 real points. If Ball doesn't go tonight, it's actually a nice matchup with the Lakers, who have allowed 36+ fp to five straight PGs.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Julius Randle DK $9.9k | FD $10k

vs. Washington

Julius Randle is priced for a 6X ceiling, but at the same time probably a 5X floor. Randle is fired up after what he perceives as a blown call by the referees in a loss to Philadelphia, and can push a triple-double vs. a Wizards team that has the fastest pace, the 4th worst defense, and is 24th dVp against the PF.

Brandon Ingram DK $7.8k | FD $7.6k

vs. Lakers

Brandon Ingram hosts his old team tonight, and this time doesn't have to go up against Lebron James. You can throw everything out about the Lakers having the top defensive efficiency and being 3rd vs. the SF without James (and Anthony Davis). Ingram has 30 real points in two of the last three and is playing confidently right now.

Alec Burks DK $5.8k | FD $5.6k

vs. Washington

Nothing wrong with a Knicks stack vs. the Washington tempo and defense, and with all the New York injuries. Burks has launched the last three even in some low scoring games (15, 18, 17 shots)

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot DK $3k | FD $3.5k

@Portland

IF James Harden sits with his neck stiffness, somebody has to shoot the ball for Brooklyn. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot gets a 12.54% usage boost and is up 22.38 fp with all the injuries Brooklyn has. There's nothing he's done lately to warrant a play, just the upside and 1.2% ownership vs. Portland's second worst defense vs. a shorthanded Nets team.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Montrezl Harrell DK $6.8k | FD $7.5k

@ New Orleans

The biggest benefactor of Lebron's absence so far has been Montrezl Harrell, who has 23/11 and 23/10 in the last two games. Those were low scoring games where L.A. was held to less than 100, so another big night from Harrell should be upcoming.

Enes Kanter DK $6.4k | FD $5.9k

vs. Brooklyn

Enes Kanter has been a $7k+ player for the better part of March, and there's no better team to buy into the dip against than Brooklyn. Kanter will be hit or miss moving forward with McCollum back, but the Nets are 25th vs. the C position, and just allowed 36fp to Alex Len on Sunday - double his average.
