Top NBA Plays 3/25 | Squeezing the Juice

There's a little over two weeks left in the NBA regular season. Obviously DFS continues into the postseason but the amount of games are fewer and thus, your options limited. Today's slate gives us a nice little taste of that postseason life with just 4 games on the card. Of course, you're not going to have the Phoenix Suns to break down for playoff DFS as you will tonight.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Memphis isn't your classic DFS stalwart but they've got a favorable matchup against the Thunder defense that ranks 24th or worse vs. four starting positions.

How heavily can you rely on Jazz players on Monday? Utah is a 15 point home favorite vs. the Suns and could see a lot of bench usage.

Philadelphia vs. Orlando is looking like a low scoring DFS game, as 5 of 10 total starters face a defender 7th or better vs. the position.

Will the Nets hit a wall in their 7th straight road game at Portland on Monday?

The Sixers look to be in a tough spot vs. Orlando but are they still a solid play?

Guards

Mike Conley (DK: $7,500 FD: $9,200 Y! $34) Ownership: 29.97%

There's great value on Mike Conley today as he faces Oklahoma City and the Thunder's 28th ranked defense vs. the PG. Conley has scored at least 52 fantasy points in 4 of his last 7 games. The Grizzlies PG sat out the last time vs. OKC but in a small slate, he's one of the best upside plays.

Evan Fournier (DK: $5,100 FD: $6,000 Y! $21) Ownership 7.85%

Evan Fournier has a very low price tag coming off a 27 point / 8 rebound/ 6 assist night vs. Memphis. Granted, that game was an OT affair, but Fournier now has two straight 35+ fantasy nights and Orlando is playing their fifth game in a row at home. The Magic are just 1 GB from the 8 seed and desperately need a win vs. Philadelphia.

Fournier has his work cut out for him but he's been playing well as of late.

Damian Lillard (DK: $9,900 FD: $10,600 Y! $46) Ownership 43.47%

Damian Lillard is on a roll with four straight 50 point games. That should continue as CJ McCollum remains out for the foreseeable future. Lillard has 30+ in three of the last four games and he also has 9+ assists in 3 of 4. The Nets just allowed a 46 point night to De'Aaron Fox and 72 to Russell Westbrook over the past five games, so Lillard has lots of upside here.

Forwards

Derrick Favors (DK: $5,500 FD: $6,800 Y!: $21) Ownership 18.32%

The name of the game for Derrick Favors today is usage. The Jazz are huge 15 point favorites at home vs. the Suns and have a 31 point win over the Bulls and a 21 point win over the Knicks in the past three games. The Suns kept it within 6 points vs. the Rockets 10 days ago and 9 at Sacramento on Saturday. Either way, the price is right for Favors who has 37 fantasy points in 4 of 7.

Favors has upside, if he stays on the court.

Al-Farouq Aminu (DK: $4,300 FD: $4,900 Y!: $12) Ownership 5.84%

There's only one thing that gets Al-Farouq Aminu in a lineup anymore - and that's a 4 game slate with limited options. Well, a second thing that favors the Portland G is that he's a starter who is just $4,300. A third factor in rostering Aminu is the fact that the Trail Blazers are playing a road weary Brooklyn team that is also allowing 34 fantasy points to 3 of the last 4 PF they've faced. With just over two weeks left in the regular season, almost everybody has been burned by Aminu by now - which is great for ownership at the very least.

Aminu has at the very least a favorable matchup vs. the Brooklyn D.

Chandler Parsons (DK: $3,900 FD: $4,500 Y! $11) Ownership 8.92%

Chandler Parsons had put together a nice run of three straight 28 point fantasy nights before 14 on Saturday. The Grizzlies have a favorable matchup vs. Oklahoma City, who snubbed Parsons in 2011 after a pre-draft dinner meeting. Joakim Noah, Kyle Anderson, and Jaren Jackson are among Grizzlies players that could miss tonight and will boost Parsons' usage.

Parsons should have a decent bounce back game Monday.

Center

Jonas Valanciunas (DK: $7,100, FD; $8,100 Y!:$30 ) Ownership 29.24%

Jonas Valanciunas has gone for at least 48 fantasy points in three straight games, which should continue with Joakim Noah out of the lineup vs. OKC. He's grabbed 14, 24, and 15 rebounds the last three while posting at least 15 field goal attempts in four straight.

Valanciunas has put a nice little run together lately.

Utility Player

Troy Daniels (DK:$3,300 FD:$3,500 Y!: $10) Ownership 0.33%

Tonight's lineup leaves $6,700 for the utility spot. There's not a whole lot for high projections at that spot with just a four game card. Troy Daniels is an interesting play here, especially for GPP, if Phoenix indeed does get blown out by the Jazz. Daniels had 16 points last game vs. Sacramento, logging his most minutes since early December, with 24.

Options expand quite significantly with 10 games on the docket for Tuesday. Until then, check out Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) on Twitter for more NBA betting talk and DFS news.
