Top NBA Plays 3/25|Hot Off the Trade Deadline Presses

Hello to all those who survived last night's apocalypse. The stars were aligned for putridness as Luka Doncic finished with 29fp, Giannis just 36, Jokic 42, and Harden did not play. Congrats to those riding the Jalen Brunson-Larry Nance - Moses Brown train instead.

The good news is the trade deadline is behind us, and what a Woj Bomb Season it was. Here are some highlights:

🏀Nikola Vucevic to the Bulls means Bigs vs. Chicago may have to be retired.

🏀Victor Oladipo to the Heat means no more Herro/Robinson/Nunn roulette.

🏀If Norman Powell couldn't get shots in Toronto, where are they going to come from in Portland?

🏀Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets going to kill Michael Porter, Jr's upside?

🏀Evan Fournier a nice bench contributor for Boston?

On to the 5-gamer now that the dust has settled...

Today's NBA Matchups

Trail Blazers @ Heat (-2), O/U 217.5, 7:30 PM ET

Portland is a little bit thinner tonight as Gary Trent and Rodney Hood are headed to Toronto for Norman Powell. It may not increase targeting against Miami's #7 defense though, especially with the Trail Blazers playing a rare road game (9 of last 11 at home).

Wizards @ Knicks (-3), O/U 224, 7:30 PM ET

A rematch of Tuesday's game that the Knicks ran away with 131-113. NYK got up big early (69-48 at half) which is a major reason why Bradley Beal had just 22 real points and Russell Westbrook 14. Julius Randle put up a fantasy 🍔50 Burger🍔. Time to run it back?

Clippers (-6.5) @ Spurs, O/U 223.5, 8:30 PM ET

LAC actually has the highest implied points of the night (115), which puts Kawhi Leonard ($8.8k) in play vs. his old team. Also, cue 10,000 chicken wing jokes👇.

Sixers (-6) @ Lakers, O/U 215.5, 10:00 PM ET

The Non-Lebron era hasn't gone well for the Lakers, being held under 100 points twice and getting blown out by 17 at New Orleans on Tuesday.

Warriors @ Kings (-2.5), O/U 226.5, 10:00 PM ET

Is attacking the Sacramento defense no longer a thing? The Kings have allowed 110 or less in three of their last four and Golden State only has an implied 112 points. Sacramento is also on the b2b though.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Jordan Poole DK $6.1k | FD $6.2k

@ Sacramento

If you don't buy into the recent defensive improvements shown by Sacramento, it's a great spot for Jordan Poole. He had a down night on Tuesday (26fp) which snapped a streak of three straight with 34+. That was against Philly's #2 defense, and Poole now gets rewarded with the #30 Sacramento unit and De'Aaron Fox who played 40 minutes last night.

Shake Milton DK $5.2k | FD $5.4k

@ Lakers

It seemed like Shake Milton was playing well, but apparently Sixers brass didn't think so as George Hill is on his way to the City of Brotherly Love. That means tonight is maybe the last blast for high usage on Shake, so he should be launching. A matchup with the Lakers doesn't hurt either, as they've allowed 36+ to the last five starting PGs they've faced, a philosophy that should lead to success for the backup as well.

Kendrick Nunn DK $4.6k | FD $5.5

vs. Portland

He's very frustrating with 16fp and then 33fp his last two, but with Victor Oladipo coming over it's one last time for a Kendrick Nunn play. There's no better team to do that against than Portland, who ranks 27th vs. the PG.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Kawhi Leonard DK $8.8k | FD $9.7k

@ San Antonio

Not a bad DK price for Kawhi Leonard, up against his former team with the highest implied team total of the slate. The Spurs are also on the back to back - because they played the Clippers last night and lost 134-101. Leonard had 49fp in a manageable 32 minutes, and also played 40 mins on his last back to back.

Tobias Harris DK $8.4k | FD $8.8k

@ Lakers

Tobias Harris has been on a nice run since Embiid went down and the Lakers don't have nearly the defense they did when James and Davis were in the lineup. Harris has dumped in 20 real points in 5 of the last 6, and has double digit rebounds in two of the last three. 50 also seems the floor here.

RJ Barrett DK $6.8k | FD $6.5k

vs. Washington

RJ Barrett gets another matchup with Washington after going for 21/5/5 against them Tuesday. The Knicks have four players that are GTD, which should keep the usage up for Barrett against the Wizards' #27 defense that is 21st vs. the SF position.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Dwight Howard DK $5.5k | FD $5.4k

@ Lakers

Dwight Howard will likely move into the starting spot tonight vs. his old team the Lakers after the Sixers traded away Tony Bradley. Howard has been a rebounding machine in limited minutes lately with 12+ in five straight, which should only continue with more court time.

Mitchell Robinson DK $5.1k | FD $6.2k

vs. Washington

Mitchell Robinson has only been back for two games since sitting out since mid-February with a hand injury. The thing about a hand injury is that you can keep your cardio up, and Robinson logged 31 minutes on Tuesday vs. Washington. Some of that was blowout minute time, but Nerlens Noel (shoulder) is banged up and the Wizards are 28th vs. the C position.
