Top NBA Plays 3/3| You Tell Me
One key to DFS success is knowing how a game is going to play out (obviously). Predicting a blowout, defensive battle, or even OT can greatly improve your chances.
Then there's last night. The Wizards had been on a roll and lose by 14 at home to Memphis. Atlanta beats Miami by 14 to end the Heat's 6-game win streak (no Jimmy Butler but still). The Knicks lose by 26 to a shorthanded Spurs team playing on the back to back. The Bucks lost by 31 at home to a Nuggets team playing on the back to back. This league some nights man.
We've got a 10-pack on the penultimate slate before the all-star break. So let's see what kind of tomfoolery the NBA will give us tonight.
Today's NBA Matchups
Pacers (-6.5) @ Cavs , O/U 218, 7:00 PM ET
Indiana has lost four straight, the Cavs have won four straight. Crazy world. Cleveland could actually be a decent target after Indiana allowed 130 points to the Sixers on Monday.
Jazz (-3.5) @ Sixers, O/U 230, 7:00 PM ET
Philadelphia puts their 15-3 home record on the line against a Jazz team that is 7-3 over their last 10. Should be a good one.
Pistons @ Raptors (-6) , O/U 211, 7:00 PM ET
Detroit is another team streaking the wrong way, with their only win in the last seven coming against an equally bad Magic team. That being said, the Raptors are pretty thin after some positive COVID tests.
Nets (-10) at Rockets, O/U 229, 7:30 PM ET
Is it Astros season yet? Tough Spring to be a Houston sports fan and the Rockets are adding to the misery with a 12-game losing streak. If the Cavs can beat the Rockets by 11, this game definitely has blowout potential.
Bulls @ Pelicans (-5.5), O/U 237, 8:00 PM ET
Chicago got 76 real points from their starting back court when these teams met up on February 10th. Will they have that same success on the road though? Good game to target with the highest betting total of the night.
Hawks (-3.5) @ Magic, O/U 219, 8:00 PM ET
Atlanta is on the back to back after the big win in Miami last night. Everybody except Trae Young and Kevin Huerter stayed under 31 minutes though. The Magic have allowed at least 124 points in three straight and maybe without Evan Fournier (groin).
Hornets (-2.5) @ Timberwolves, O/U 233, 8:00 PM ET
You know Minnesota is in a bad way when they're home underdogs to a Charlotte team missing Gordon Hayward, Cody Zeller, and Devonte Graham. The T'Wolves have lost 8 straight, but the Hornets could come out flat after being on the West Coast the last five games.
Thunder @ Mavs (-5), O/U 223, 8:30 PM ET
OKC gave up 126 points on Sunday, but that was also on the back to back. This game could be a low scoring one especially with Luka Doncic doubtful.
Lakers @ Kings (-3.5), O/U 224, 10:00 PM ET
The Lakers will rest Lebron tonight on the b2b, but they're still a great target vs. a horrible Kings defense that has allowed 120+ in 5 of 6.
Warriors (-2) @ Trail Blazers, O/U 233.5, 10:00 PM ET
Golden State is somewhat of a strange road favorite here, but the Trail Blazers have lost 4 of their last 5. The Dubs do have the extra day of rest, being off since Sunday's 117-91 loss to the Lakers.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
James Harden DK $11k | FD $11.2k
@Houston
Return to Houston. Enough said.
Steph Curry DK $9.9k | FD $9.9k
@ Portland
A nice James Harden fade is Curry vs. Portland, as he's gone for 76fp, 45fp, and 79fp in the last three vs. the Trail Blazers.
Terry Rozier DK $7.9k | FD $7k
@ Minnesota
The Hornets / T'Wolves game is expected to be high scoring (O/U 233) and Minnesota is just abysmal vs. the SG lately giving up 43 real points to Devin Booker on Sunday. Gordon Hayward will likely be back for Charlotte, but Rozier is still a solid FD play.
Trey Burke DK $3| FD $3.5k
vs. OKC
Burke gets a 5% usage increase and a 12.2 fp bump when Luka Doncic doesn't play. That's good for some exposure at that salary saving price.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Zion Williamson DK $9.1k | FD $8.9k
vs. Bulls
Chicago has been better on the post since Wendell Carter, Jr.'s return, but Zion Williamson is a lock for 5X with a great chance at 6+ as long as this price holds. He shot 12-18 from the floor vs. the Bulls on February 10th, getting little resistance.
Draymond Green DK $7.4k | FD $7.6k
@ Portland
The extra day off is huge for Golden State, as it allows Draymond Green to rest the ankle that he sprained on Sunday. That's the reason for his 11fp, playing just 13 minutes. Green was in a perfect lineup three straight times before that, highlighted by a 11/12/19 performance last Friday vs. Charlotte. With a betting total at 233, a lot of those assists are coming from the point forward.
Garrett Temple DK $4.3k | FD $4.2
@ New Orleans
Garrett Temple is kind of not good most of the time, but that's what we thought about Bojan Bogdanovic who just lit up the Pelicans for 50fp on Monday. SFs kill New Orleans, look no further than the Bulls meeting with them on February 10th in which Temple had 10/3/7 for 6X+.
Talen Horton-Tucker DK $3.4k | FD $3.9
@ Sacramento
Horton-Tucker looked like an all NBA player this preseason, but obviously, that changes a bit when the regular season minutes get diminished. That's not the case tonight, as the Lakers rest a large chunk of their roster including Lebron James. It's time.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Nikola Vucevic DK $10.3k | FD $9.9k
vs. Atlanta
If Evan Fournier rests his groin, which he should with the long layoff coming up, Orlando is going to run everything through Vucevic. Atlanta is decent vs. the C position (14th) but is also on 0 days rest.
Chris Boucher DK $6.4k | FD $6.6k
vs. Detroit
Boucher has been great at times this season but the big problem with him is you don't know how many minutes he's going to play. That shouldn't be a question tonight as the Raptors play without VanVleet, Siakam, Anunoby, and others. That's good for a 4% usage increase and 10+ more fp making 7X or more in play.
