Top NBA Plays 3/30| Blowout Night?
It's a whopping 11-gamer to kick off the NBA week, but a few of these games could get ugly. The Jazz host the Cavaliers, OKC is an 11-point underdog vs. Dallas, and the Nets are also favored big over Minnesota. Oh, and Houston plays.
We know we should never expect a blowout, but let's see what this slate has to offer as a whole.
Today's NBA Matchups
Pacers (-5) @ Wizards, O/U 233.5, 7:00 PM ET
Indiana is putting something together with wins in 4 of their last 5. The Wizards defense has looked better the last two (106 and 92 points allowed) but are still a target against.
Lineup Notes: Bradley Beal (hip) is a GTD.
Pelicans @ Celtics (-2), O/U 229.5, 7:30 PM ET
Possible Evan Fournier debut night? The Celtics may be having seller's remorse after sending Daniel Theis and his physical post presence to Chicago. Moses Brown had 21 points and 23 boards for OKC on Saturday. Hello, Zion.
Timberwolves @ Nets (-11), O/U 239, 7:30 PM ET
Oddsmakers are calling this one a 🕯️Blowout Game🕯️and the Nets will be playing on 2 days rest. They only beat the Pistons by 2 points on Friday, but are expected to get Kyrie Irving (personal) back tonight. Minnesota also just lost to Houston, yuck.
Heat (-4) @ Knicks, O/U 204.5, 7:30 PM ET
Hard game to target here with that betting total.
Raptors (-3.5) @ Pistons, O/U 214, 8:00 PM ET
Another downright ugly game as Detroit's offense is underwhelming but their defense is actually decent, ranking 10th in scoring. Toronto is also on the back to back after a 122-117 loss to Portland last night.
Grizzlies (-8) @ Rockets, O/U 225.5, 8:00 PM ET
Christian Wood has landed on the injury report with a sore ankle and illness. Kelly Olynyk got the start at C for Houston on Saturday as the Rockets got a rare win, 129-107 over the T'Wolves. Oddsmakers are calling that a one-timer, making Memphis -8 point favorites.
Mavericks (-11) @ Thunder, O/U 221, 8:00 PM ET
Dallas could be in a huge blowout spot vs. a very banged up Thunder team.
Kings @ Spurs (-2.5), O/U 228.5, 8:30 PM ET
The Spurs are favored here, but the Kings are on an under-the-radar 4-game win streak. Sacramento has shown improvement on defense, holding 3 of their last 4 opponents to 108 points or less. The Spurs have lost 4 of 5.
Cavaliers @ Jazz (-16), O/U 220, 9:00 PM ET
Oddsmakers are expecting this one to get ugly, making the Jazz 16 point favorites as Cleveland plays without Jarrett Allen (concussion).
Bulls (-1) @ Warriors, O/U 226.5, 10:00 PM ET
This line opened at Golden State +4.5, and it dropping to GSW +1 makes you think that Steph Curry is going to return from his 4-game absence tonight. Nikola Vucevic had 38fp in his Bulls debut on Saturday.
Bucks @ Clippers (-2.5), O/U 231.5, 10:00 PM ET
Any chance the Clippers give Kawhi Leonard or Paul George some rest here since they play a game tomorrow night too? Then again, with Orlando visiting tomorrow is that the game for the night off?
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Russell Westbrook DK $11k | FD $11k
vs. Indiana
Russell Westbrook would seem to be a better spend-up option than James Harden tonight, even though Harden had 78fp last game. The Nets are in a blowout spot vs. Minnesota and also have Kyrie Irving coming back. Westbrook on the other hand has 18 and 19 rebounds the last two games, and faces a Pacers team that is 5th worst in rebound rate.
Malik Beasley DK $6.7k | FD $5.6k
@ Brooklyn
Malik Beasley returned for the first time in 12 games, and he was rusty shooting 4-17. With that first game back out of the way, Beasley has a great matchup against the Nets in a game that has a 239 betting total.
Jordan Clarkson DK $6k | FD $5
vs. Cleveland
Mike Conley rested last game, which increased Jordan Clarkson's usage to 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists (45fp). Even if Conley returns, Clarkson should get plenty of time vs. his old team as Utah is a 16 point favorite. Clarkson hit 7X this price vs. Cleveland on January 12th with 21/8/4.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Zion Williamson DK $8.8k | FD $9k
@ Boston
Zion Williamson has made two straight perfect lineups, scoring 38 and 39 real points. In the first game since the Celtics traded Daniel Theis, they allowed a 21 point, 23 rebound game to Moses Brown. Williamson isn't a huge rebounder, but you might as well get in to see if Boston really has an interior defense problem now.
Jayson Tatum DK $8.6k | FD $8.5k
vs. New Orleans
Jaylen Brown is out tonight, giving Jayson Tatum a 7.53% usage boost and a 13.13 fp increase. That looks good in a game with a betting total 230.
Draymond Green DK $6.9k | FD $6.6k
vs. Chicago
If Steph Curry returns it means so does Draymond Green, who has been held 33fp or less in the four games that Curry has missed. He hit 6X in 3 of 4 games prior with Curry in the lineup, and Chicago's interior defense isn't out of the woods yet even with their new additions.
Dillon Brooks DK $5.8k | FD $5.9k
@ Houston
Dillon Brooks' production dipped a bit the last two games, but he was also up against Utah's #5 defensive efficiency. Brooks had gone for 31+ fp in three straight games, numbers that should return vs. Houston's #17 defense vs. the SF and 26th vs. the SG.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Nikola Vucevic DK $9.3k | FD $9.2k
@ Golden State
Nikola Vucevic put up 21 points and 9 rebounds in his Bulls debut on Saturday. Now that he's got a game under his belt in a new system, time for an upside game vs. a Golden State team that is 26th defensively vs. the C position. The Warriors have given up a couple 15+ rebound games to Clint Capela and Jonas Valanciunas over the past four games.
Moses Brown DK $6.8k | FD $6.5k
vs. Dallas
The Moses Brown production could take a hit with Tony Bradley making his OKC debut tonight, but that's still a good price at under $7k. Lu Dort is in concussion protocol, Darius Bazley is fighting a shoulder injury, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is out with a foot injury.
