Top NBA Plays 3/5 | Beads, Not Beats

It's Fat Tuesday but New Orleans isn't in action so we can't play the boozed up opponent angle on Tuesday. Somewhere there is a hangover, as in Laker Nation, where LeBron and Co.'s loss to the Clippers last night is sure to have some repercussions. Luke Walton might want to turn his phone off today. On to the 6-game card for today.

Tonight's Headline Games

Paul George is questionable again tonight for the Thunder, but really sounds more on the doubtful side and the spread reflects it, as the T'Wolves are -2 favorites at home. Russell Westbrook ($11,300) really hasn't gone off in PG13's absence like people thought he would (45,41 fp last two games).

The Rockets looked great in a win at TD Garden on Sunday where James Harden ($11,100) and Eric Gordon ($4,800) combined for 110 fp. Houston will have a tough time making it 6 wins in a row when they visit the Raptors (-3.5)

Is Portland a team to stay away from tonight as they wrap up a 7-game road swing in Memphis? The Blazers have been great so far 5-1, but fatigue has to set in doesn't it?

It's looking like a lock and load night for T'Wolves players

Guards

Jeff Teague (DK: $5,300 FD: $6,300 Y! $22) Ownership: 18.93%

Jeff Teague is projected for a 33 point fantasy night as he goes up against Russell Westbrook's defense. OKC just gave up 42fp (averages 20) to Delon Wright of Memphis on Sunday and allowed 34 to Derrick White (23 avg) the game before that. OKC plays their third game in four nights and holes will be in the defense for Teague to exploit (O/U 231).

Darren Collison (DK: $5,500 FD: $7,400 Y! $20) Ownership 4.32%

The Bulls were just used and abused by Trae Young at the PG position over the weekend to the tune of an 87 point fantasy night Friday and 28 points in 18 minutes before being ejected Sunday. Obviously Young takes way more shots than Darren Collison, but it still should be a good night for the Pacers PG. Collison had 43 fp on Saturday and the Bulls actually play good defense vs. the front court, so there's some points available for the Pacers back court.

How is Chicago's defense this highly rated?

Danny Green (DK: $4,000, FD; $4,100 Y!:$10 ) Ownership 3.72%

Looking for a bounce back game from Danny Green, who does provide some salary relief on Tuesday. Green hasn't broken 20 fantasy points in the past three games but he is up against James Harden's defense on Tuesday. The Rockets are giving up nearly 32 fppg to SG starters and Green could see expanded minutes if the Raptors sit Kawhi Leonard again for "load management."

Forwards

Otto Porter, Jr. (DK: $6,200 FD: $7,400 Y! $26) Ownership 10.6%

Chicago's Otto Porter, Jr. should be well rested after receiving the afternoon off on Sunday due to playing 55 minutes the previous Friday. When Porter gets the minutes, he gets the shots. And there's no reason the SF doesn't see a lot of court time vs. Indiana. Sure, the Pacers are 6th vs. the SF slot, but they've also allowed 30+ fp games to Aaron Gordon and Tim Hardaway in 2 of 3. Porter has a high ceiling when he's launching.

OPJ is a nice 50 point threat for this bad Bulls team.

Eric Gordon (DK: $4,800 FD: $5,300 Y!: $18) Ownership 16.3%

Is there such thing as a 'confidence angle' in DFS? We know it probably works the other way when a guy is slumping, he's just all out of sorts but Houston's Eric Gordon has to be feeling good after going 8-12 from three point range Sunday vs. Boston. The last four SF opponents Toronto has faced have only attempted 9 total three pointers, so Gordon brings a different attack from what they're used to guarding.

Terrance Ross (DK: $4,700, FD: $5,000 Y! $14) Ownership 7.05%

So there's an analytic that has been unlocked for Orlando's Terrance Ross - don't play him against bad teams. Over the past two-plus weeks, Ross has scored 27 fp vs. Chicago, 5 vs. New York, and 8 vs. Cleveland. Over that same span he's also put up 41 vs. Toronto, 32 against Golden State, and 32 against Indiana. The Magic are up against a quality team in Philadelphia, so Ross has some value for the price.

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns (DK: $10,600 FD: $11,500 Y!: $51) Ownership 24.82%

Locking in Karl-Anthony Towns for Tuesday and trying to find value elsewhere. First off, it's kind of a short stack at center talent for today, outside of Nikola Vucevic. Also, you don't want to be on the outside looking in when Towns goes for 42 and 17 like he did last Thursday vs. the Pacers. Steven Adams and the Thunder are 22nd defensively vs. the C position over the past five games, so the matchup is there.

Towns has struggled a bit vs. OKC but can go for 70fp any given night.

Utility Player

Kawhi Leonard (DK:$8,900 FD:$9,700 Y!: $42) Ownership 9.04%

Tonight's lineup leaves $8,900 for the utility spot. Kawhi Leonard is a great play at that price in a stack vs. the Houston defense. Leonard is fresh after resting last game and is up against Eric Gordon's defense. Other options in this spot could be Kyrie Irving vs. Golden State or Ben Simmons vs. the Magic.

That's an outlook for today's games with a loaded 10-pack coming on Wednesday. Until then, check out Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) on Twitter for more NBA betting talk and DFS news.
