Top NBA Plays 3/8 | Looking Like a High Scoring Night

9 games on the card tonight after enduring yesterday's measly 2-game slate. Four games have an O/U in the 230's so there should be some daily fantasy scoring for the evening. In that case, let's get to it:

Tonight's Headline Games

The biggest total on an Eastern Conference game tonight is 234.5 in the matchup between the Wizards and Hornets. That might be way off because Washington is in the top 10 defensively vs. the PG, SG, and SF while Charlotte is top 6 vs. SG and SF.

The numbers do add up in the Raptors vs. Pelicans matchup as New Orleans is 24th or worse vs. every position except SG.

The Nuggets have a lot of mouths to feed, but the Warriors have been leaking on defense, losing 5 of their last 8.

The Thunder are on a back-to-back and in a game that went to OT last night in Portland. There are a ton of points expected Friday vs. the Clippers (O/U 236.5).

The Clippers look like a team that could explode on Friday

Guards

Elfrid Payton (DK: $5,000 FD: $6,300 Y! $22) Ownership: 9.69%

Jrue Holiday is out (1st game) for New Orleans on Friday vs. the Raptors which should open up Elfrid Payton's game a bit. The Pelicans PG has had a couple down nights (27 and 19 fp) but sees an 8.31% usage increase with the lineup NO is rolling out tonight. His fp also increase 12.9 with Holiday, E'Twaun Moore and others out, so we'll take the matchup.

Payton should see a nice boost on Friday night

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (DK: $4,100 FD: $5,200 Y! $10) Ownership 1.88%

Never stop never stopping when it comes to playing PG vs. the OKC Thunder. Damian Lillard came through last night vs. the Thunder with a 76.75 fantasy point night and things are looking bright for a big game from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder are on 0 days rest and played in OT Thursday vs. Portland. 4 of the last 5 PG have gone for 40+ fp vs. Oklahoma City. Gilgeous-Alexander isn't typically synonymous with a fantasy stud...but he's got a lot in his favor tonight.

If Gilgeous Alexander doesn't have a 40fp night tonight he probably never will.

Luke Kennard (DK: $4,600, FD: $5,400 Y! $12) Ownership 3.6%

Detroit's Luke Kennard has turned into one of those Milwaukee players like Khris Middleton or Malcolm Brogdon who just happens to go out and give you a solid 30 fp every time out. Kennard has put up 30+ in 5 of 6, exceeding his projections each time. The Pistons SG comes off the bench, but his fga the last six games have been 16, 10, 15, 12, 10, and 11. The Pistons have the Bulls tonight and Kennard should see plenty of court time as Chicago has been playing better.

Forwards

Draymond Green (DK: $5,900 FD: $6,800 Y! $25) Ownership 7.2%

The Warriors have a 1 game lead in the Western Conference which means they might actually finally care about winning in tonight's matchup with Denver. That bodes well for Draymond Green's production, as Denver has been getting absolutely lit up at the PF position. 4 of the last 5 PF the Nuggets have faced have gone for at least 36 fp with two 50+ burgers mixed in there. Green has only broken 40+ fp once in the last 10 games but he should get his in this big matchup.

Green has the potential for a big night in a good matchup with Denver.

Will Barton (DK: $5,900 FD: $5,800 Y!: $21) Ownership 4.6%

Denver is such a deep team that Will Barton can sometimes be a victim of the Nuggets own success. Today vs. Golden State though, Barton should get his opportunities. The Warriors have allowed at least 34fp to four straight SF and Barton has gone for 40+ in 2 of the last 4. He's had 16+ fga in 3 of the last 5 games and the Nuggets will have all hands on deck as they shoot for 1st in the West.

Barton has had a couple nice ceiling games over the past week plus.

Kevin Love (DK: $7,800, FD; $8,600 Y!:$31 ) Ownership 10.05%

Kevin Love is projected for 38 points tonight vs. Miami but that would be his 2nd-worst outing in six games. Love has returned to glory with 40+ fp in 4 of the last 5 including two 50 burger nights. The Heat have been solid vs. the PF, but can Kelly Olynyk and Miami contain Love, who is not your traditional 4?

Center

Rudy Gobert (DK: $8,000 FD: $9,800 Y!: $34) Ownership 3.77%

Rudy Gobert should, at the very least, put up solid rebounding numbers vs. Memphis. The Grizzlies just allowed a 22 rebound game to Steven Adams last Sunday and Gobert has averaged 16 rpg in his last two outings. Gobert has 19+ points in 4 of 7 and also has 4+ blocks in three of those games, so he can accumulate in a variety of ways.

Utility Player

Julius Randle (DK:$8,200 FD:$9,000 Y!: $36) Ownership 10.48%

Tonight's lineup leaves $8,700 for the utility position. Julius Randle has the best potential for 50+ out of that spot. He's gone for 50+ fp in 3 of the last 5 games and should see even greater scoring opportunities tonight vs. Toronto with Jrue Holiday out of the lineup.
