Top NBA Plays 4/13 | Playoff Opener

The playoffs amp up today which is a nice welcome for regular DFS players who have seen some ho-hum performances from teams with nothing left to play for down the stretch. Every game is crucial here on out and we'll see the most minutes from the best players. Let us begin:

Tonight's DFS Headlines

The Nets take on the Sixers today and Brooklyn is a +5.5 underdog despite the fact Philadelphia is without Joel Embiid.

The Raptors have incentive to win for the first time in what seems like weeks. Does this mean a huge afternoon for Kawhi Leonard ($7900) or is he a liability for the price?

Expect a lot of usage from Golden State Warriors players as there are no longer worries about blowout minutes restrictions. Then again, the Dubs are -12.5 favorites Saturday vs. the Clippers.

Do the big names step up for San Antonio as the savvy of the Spurs looks to upset the Nuggets in game one?

Guards

Jamal Murray (DK: $6000 FD: $7800 Y! $25) Ownership: 27.68%

Jamal Murray is going to play a key roll for Denver this series as they take on the Spurs. San Antonio has played better in the back court defensively lately (3rd vs. PG starters last 5 games) but Murray was 6-14 with 6 rebounds and 8 assists when the teams met up on April 3rd. Nikola Jokic had a 46 point fantasy night in that game and is another solid assist combo for Murray on Saturday.

Murray has had the best PG run vs. San Antonio over the recent week plus.

Evan Fournier (DK: $5500 FD: $6500 Y! $21) Ownership 10.2%

There's value on Evan Fournier at $5500 despite the fact that Orlando is up against Toronto's #7 defense vs. the SG. Fournier did have a 21/4/4 night when the teams met up on April 1st, however. Fournier has 30+ fantasy points in 4 of the last 5 games and has at least 14 fga in five straight.

Terrance Ross (DK: $5300 FD: $6400 Y! $19) Ownership 10.8%

Playing Terrance Ross vs. the Raptors is playing his recent trends. Sure, Toronto has a #9 scoring defense but Ross has posted fantasy numbers of 50, 38, 36, and 40 over the last four. Ross has upside off the bench in a Toronto blowout (TOR -9.5) or if Orlando keeps it close (won 3 of 4 vs. Raptors this season). He's also got a great price tag at $5300.

Ross has had good upside in April.

Forwards

Danilo Gallinari (DK: $6600 FD: $7500 Y!: $21) Ownership 11.16%

Danilo Gallinari should be back into launch mode as the Clippers try to pull off the upset at the Oracle. The LA F has two 50+ fantasy point games in the last four that he's played. Doc Rivers rested Gallinari a bit down the stretch, sitting him or limiting minutes to 25 or less in 4 of the last 6. Expect a fresh Gallinari vs. a Golden State defense that has allowed a 30+ fp night to Bruno Caboclo, 42 to Christian Wood, and 44 to Larry Nance, Jr. in 3 of the last 4.

Golden State has been vulnerable vs. the PF lately.

Tobias Harris (DK: $6400 FD: $7200 Y!: $31) Ownership 24.4%

A lot of people are liking Tobias Harris vs. Brooklyn this afternoon as he's seemingly one of the few 76ers players that is fully healthy. The last time a PF played more than 26 minutes vs. Brooklyn it was Pascal Siakim who went 11/21 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Harris has 20+ points in 3 of his last 5 games logging 30 minutes or more and should continue that trend vs. Brooklyn at home - especially with Embiid out.

Lamarcus Aldridge (DK: $7500 FD: $8500 Y! $32) Ownership 28.79%

Lamarcus Aldridge had just 16 points and 6 rebounds when the Spurs met up with Denver on April 3rd but that was in just 24 minutes of action as the Nuggets scored a 28 point win. With San Antonio amped up for the playoffs, it should be a much closer contest on Saturday night. Aldridge seems ready for the postseason, as he's gone for 34/16 and 18/13 the last two games.

Aldridge is looking for a bounce back game vs. the Nuggets

Center

Boban Marjanovic (DK: $3500, FD; $5500 Y!:$10 ) Ownership 8.54%

No Joel Embiid for game one at least means Philadelphia would be wise to get big man backup Boban Marjanovic going. Marjanovic is coming off a solid 18/8/6 game in just 24 minutes vs. Chicago and has a solid matchup with the Nets front court. Brooklyn gave up 30+ fp to 3 of 5 centers down the stretch. Jimmy Butler (back), JJ Redick (back), Jonah Bolden (knee), and Ben Simmons (teeth) are all playing banged up, which gives Marjanovic even more value.

Utility Player

Nikola Jokic (DK:$9000 FD:$10600 Y!: $43) Ownership 20.1%

Nikola Jokic can compile tonight vs. the Spurs. He had 20/11/9 the last meeting with San Antonio and is coming off a 29/14 night vs. the Timberwolves to close out the regular season. Jokic was an assist shy of a 20+ point triple double in 2 of the 3 games prior and will get the minutes here.
