Top NBA Plays 4/19| Target Not Engaged

So on Friday night, the OKC Thunder give up 39fp to Reggie Jackson, 36fp to Killian Hayes, and even 25fp to Frank Jackson off the bench for Detroit. The Thunder must be horrible against guards, right? Target the Raptors' Paul Watson vs. OKC on Sunday coming off a 44fp performance the game before and he shoots 0-10 from the floor.

That's the agony we hate - and the agony we love. Let's see who breaks our hearts on this Monday 9er.

Today's NBA Matchups

Cavs (-2.5) @ Pistons, O/U 214, 7:00 PM ET

Detroit gave up an average of 102 ppg in two home games last week, and Cleveland has been held to 103 points or less in their last three.

Bulls @ Celtics (-6), O/U 217, 7:30 PM ET

Chicago finally snapped a 5-game skid with a 106-96 win over Cleveland on Saturday. Can the Bulls make it two in a row with Boston facing some injury concerns?

Warriors @ Sixers (-9), O/U 225, 7:30 PM ET

This spread would point to some injury concerns on Golden State and indeed Steph Curry is questionable with a tweaked ankle. The Sixers are also 22-5 at home though, which may be why they are favored by so much.

Rockets @ Heat (-8), O/U 218.5, 8:00 PM ET

Are the Rockets that bad that they are +8 even though Jimmy Butler (ankle) is questionable and the Heat are on the back to back? Or, does that spread point to Butler playing after sitting out yesterday's 109-107 win over the Nets?

Thunder @ Wizards (-12), O/U 230, 8:00 PM ET

Russ Westbrook 'only' had 57fp in a 21-point win over the Pistons on Saturday. Does a similar output happen tonight against a very bad OKC team - or is Russ going to stick it to his old franchise regardless?

Suns @ Bucks (-2.5), O/U 233.5, 8:00 PM ET

Are we going to see another epic Suns/Bucks battle like the February 10th game that ended in a 125-124 Phoenix win? If so, hop on the Giannis Antetokounmpo train as he finished with 47/11/5 (71fp) in that one. Devin Booker and Chris Paul were pretty good too though with 58 combined real points.

Spurs (-1) @ Pacers, O/U 231.5, 8:00 PM ET

This could be a sneaky good target game as it's expected to be close with the one-point spread, and the betting total is decent at 231.5. San Antonio gets the favorite tag on the road because Indiana is on the back-to-back after a 117-129 loss to Atlanta last night. The Hawks' Clint Capela had 25 points and 24 rebounds (!) despite Myles Turner back in the lineup for the Pacers.

Grizzlies @ Nuggets (-7.5), O/U 226.5, 9:00 PM ET

Memphis beat Milwaukee 128-115 on Saturday as +8.5 underdogs. Their chance to beat Denver tonight takes a hit with Jonas Valanciunas (concussion) being out. Jokic night?

Jazz (-7) @ Lakers, O/U 214.5, 10:00 PM ET

This is a rematch of Saturday's thriller that the Lakers took 127-115 as the shorthanded Jazz ran out of steam in overtime. Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, and Derrick Favors were sitting on the back-to-back, and Donovan Mitchell missed the first of what could be several games with an ankle injury.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Russell Westbrook DK $11k | FD $11.5k

vs. OKC

You need him in a few lineups just to see it. Russ Westbrook is an assist shy of 8 straight triple-doubles, hitting 60+ in six of those. He's up against his old OKC squad tonight, who got rocked for 100fp by three Detroit guards on Friday. Could Westbrook get that himself if this one stays close?

Chris Paul DK $7.9k | FD $7.7k

@ Milwaukee

Chris Paul has really stepped up in the few times that the Suns have been underdogs this year, averaging 48 fppg in those 7 contests. He's a big game player, and also gets a +27% boost in faster-paced contests, and the Bucks are 5th in tempo. Going for a 🍔50 Burger🍔(28/3/7) cements this play.

Cavis LeVert DK $7.5k | FD $8.3k

vs. San Antonio

The Pacers are on the back-to-back, but Caris LeVert should be fairly fresh after logging just 24 minutes in the big loss to the Hawks. Before that, he had shot at least 18 times in four straight games, and tonight faces a Spurs squad that is 2nd worst vs. the SG over the past 20.

🍺Other Likes🍕 - Darius Garland ($7k) two straight perfect lineups and vs. Detroit (30 vs. SG). Dennis Schroder ($6.6k) 50fp vs. Utah last game and Jazz 27th vs. PG last 20. Goran Dragic ($4.8k), no Tyler Herro and went for 41 fp yesterday.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Jimmy Butler DK $9.6k | FD $9.3

vs. Houston

He's got to play (questionable-ankle) but if so Jimmy Butler is in a nice spot as the freshest player on the Heat after sitting out Miami's game with Brooklyn yesterday. It's a solid matchup with Houston, as SF's are +86 vs. Houston the last 20 games (30th). Butler went for 30/10/8 when we last saw him on Friday, but the blowout does concern you with the Rockets also being on the b2b.

DeMar DeRozan DK $8k | FD $7.9k

@Indiana

Great spot for DeMar DeRozan, who is well-rested after sitting out the Spurs' back to back on Saturday. He's averaging just shy of 6X this price in 13 close games, and tonight's line is SAS -1. The Pacers defense will be on the b2b, and are 22nd in the league vs. the SF over the last 20 games regardless.

Darius Bazley DK $6.4k | FD $5.5k

@Washington

Darius Bazley has 15+ shot attempts and 7+ rebounds in each of the last three games. He's got a ceiling of 33fp over that span and is on the back-to-back, but the matchup with Washington is hard to pass up. The Wizards are without Rui Hachimura (knee) and possibly Alex Len (ankle) in the frontcourt but are giving up 32 fppg to PFs the last 20 even with them in the lineup.

🍺Other Likes🍕 - Bojan Bogdanovic ($5.8k) - No Donovan Mitchell, 30+ fp in five straight, and vs. Lakers who are 20th vs. SF. Saddiq Bey ($5.3k), PFs are +89 vs. Cleveland last 20. Jae Crowder ($4.4) scored 32fp vs. Milwaukee last time, Bucks are 26th vs. starting PF.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Nikola Vucevic DK $9.9k | FD $9.1k

@Boston

Nikola Vucevic owes us a ceiling game, as he hasn't even gotten to 60fp in the last seven games. Can that come tonight against a Boston team missing Robert Williams, and who will try to stop Vuc with 6'9 Tristan Thompson, 6'6" Grant Williams, and 6'8" Jabari Parker? A triple-double could be coming, as Vucevic is averaging 24.5/10.5/5.5 in the two games since Zach LaVine has been hurt.

Jakob Poeltl DK $6.2k | FD $5.9k

@Indiana

The Pacers gave up 25 points and 24 rebounds to Clint Capela yesterday so of course, you attack that position. Indiana struggling vs. bigs is not just a one-time thing either, as they are last in the NBA in allowing 43 fppg to C's over the last 20 games. Jakob Poeltl even had 45fp vs. the Pacers earlier this month (14 points, 13 rebounds).
