Top NBA Plays 4/23 | Megalodon Slate
There are four NBA games on the card for Tuesday, which, in the playoffs is absolutely gigantic. As series are starting to be decided, it could also be the last time we have more than 2 games to choose from on any given night. Let's enjoy this Thanksgiving in April and see what's in store for tonight:
Tonight's DFS Headlines
The Magic fought tooth and nail in Game 3 and forgot to show up in Game 4. Either way, both were losses and now the Raptors can finish the job going back to Toronto up 3-1.
The Nets vs. Sixers has turned into a nice chippy series but once again, three straight Philadelphia wins has Brooklyn on the brink of elimination.
The Nuggets vs Spurs has been arguably the best series of this postseason. The squads head back to the Pepsi Center tied 2-2.
The Thunder could only capture 1 of 2 on their home court and now are back in Portland with an OKC loss ending their season.
Guards
Terrence Ross (DK: $5100 FD: $5500 Y! $18) Ownership: 17.3%
It's a very top heavy, star studded card which means more than a few value plays have to be taken. Terrence Ross is one such play. He was absolutely silenced in Game 4 at home, taking just 5 shots and scoring only 13fp. In Game 3 however, Ross shot 8-17 on his way to a 35 point fantasy night. Ross went for 35+ in four straight to end the regular season and here's hoping he fires like a ticked off Game of Thrones dragon tonight.
Gary Harris (DK: $5100 FD: $5300 Y! $17) Ownership 14.37%
Another player who works hard for the money (that he costs) is Gary Harris. The Denver G has scrounged his way to 28+ fantasy points in 3 of 4 games this series. Harris has logged 33 minutes in each game and has field goal attempts of 12, 16, 13, and 9 so far. Not bad for the cost, especially going back home where he scored 23 points on 10-16 shooting in Game 2.
CJ McCollum (DK: $7300 FD: $8400 Y! $31) Ownership 31.28%
Damian Lillard may be the most electrifying Portland player, but it's CJ McCollum that has really been the guiding light behind the Blazers' 3-1 series lead. McCollum has gone for over 43 fantasy points in each of the last three games and has taken 20+ shot attempts in 3 of 4 overall in the series. No reason to expect anything less than a great night from McCollum as Portland tries to punch their ticket to round 2.
Forwards
Caris LeVert (DK: $5900 FD: $6900 Y!: $24) Ownership 15.05%
Caris LeVert has looked like a budding superstar in the series with Philadelphia despite Brooklyn falling down 1-3. LeVert has 23+ points in 3 of 4 games and has grabbed at least 4 rebounds in each contest. He also dished out 6 assists in Game 4 and has seen his strong play rewarded with 42 minutes when the previous high in the series was just 27.
Evan Fournier (DK: $5100 FD: $5100 Y!: $19) Ownership 8.5%
You never know when a player is going to break out of his funk and start hitting shots. So far in the series with the Raptors Evan Fournier has shot 7-18, 4-12, 1-12, and 8-16. The one good thing that comes out of those numbers is that he's getting the attempts. Fournier has also logged 35+ minutes in 3 of 4 games, so he'll be out there. It's just a matter of the ball going through the basket.
Tobias Harris (DK: $6800 FD: $8300 Y! $31) Ownership 23.84%
There's not bad value (on DraftKings) for Tobias Harris, a guy who launched 20 shots last game. Sure, Jimmy Butler was out for most of the game for Philadelphia, but Harris has shot attempts of 19 and 12 in Games 2 and 3. Harris has averaged 12 rpg the last two and is back home Tuesday - even though his best two games of the series have been on the road.
Center
Nikola Jokic (DK: $9300, FD; $10500 Y!:$43 ) Ownership 18.16%
Unfortunately you just can't pass up production at C tonight, especially with Joel Embiid a GTD or a candidate to at least have restricted minutes with his knee injury. Nikola Jokic has gone for 54+ fantasy points in 3 of 4 games vs. the Spurs and should have very similar numbers tonight for this model of consistency.
Utility Player
Al-Farouq Aminu (DK:$4700 FD:$5500 Y!: $16) Ownership 15.16%
Everybody in the DFS world is expecting Al-Farouq Aminu to drop off a cliff like a lemming after a very good Game 4. This is a mind blowing theory but...what if he doesn't? Sure, the odds are that Aminu will go in the tank after his 7-16, 9 rebound night on Sunday produced 36 fantasy points. Daily fantasy success is about being that person that stays on the train instead of jumping off. Well actually, getting on the train before everybody else does but the situation still applies.
It's playoff season and it's a great time for DFS success. For more discussion, feel free to check out Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) on Twitter for sports betting talk and DFS news.
