Top NBA Plays 4/24| Six for Fighting

There are a couple of early Saturday games, dropping this slate to a 6-pack for the nightcap. The Detroit @ Indiana game strangely looks like a great target, as do potential blowout win teams the Jazz and Nuggets. It looks like an interesting one, let's see what gets unraveled.

Today's NBA Matchups

Pistons @ Pacers (-4.5), O/U 227, 7:00 PM ET

Indiana has had the last two nights off, but apparently, that's not enough to get Domantas Sabonis (back) in the lineup. Malcolm Brogdon is coming off a 62fp game last time out. Detroit has also lost five straight road games.

Bulls @ Heat (-4.5), O/U 205.5, 8:00 PM ET

Chicago is an enigma right now, losing by 16 to Cleveland, then following that up with a 17 point win over the Hornets on the back to back. The Heat are only -4.5 points though, playing on 0 days rest. Jimmy Butler played 37 minutes in the 15 point loss to Atlanta.

Spurs @ Pelicans (-3), O/U 228, 8:00 PM ET

New Orleans was able to snap a 4-game losing streak last time out, but that's easy to do when you play Orlando (135-100). Might be a pump-your-brake on the Pels' night, as the Spurs defense has held 3 of 4 opponents to under 100 points. DeMar DeRozan (quad) is questionable.

Lakers @ Mavs (-2.5), O/U 217.5, 8:30 PM ET

The Lakers have lost 3 of 4, and their defense hasn't looked as good allowing 115+ points in 3 of 4. That includes a 115-110 loss to Dallas on Thursday in which Luka Doncic had 30/9/8 (58fp). There are injuries galore in this matchup.

Timberwolves @ Jazz (-12) O/U 230.5 9:00 PM ET

Oddsmakers are calling this one a blowout for the Jazz despite Minnesota having had the last two nights off. The T'Wolves have allowed 120+ in five of the last six, which makes a Utah target interesting.

Rockets @ Nuggets (-13.5), O/U 221, 10:00 PM ET

The Nuggets losing by 21 at home against Golden State last night didn't save them many minutes as Nikola Jokic logged 33 and Michael Porter, Jr. 37. Will Barton was also lost 4 minutes into the game with a hamstring injury so Denver could be a bit shorthanded here. The Rockets are also on the b2b, so does John Wall sit after playing 40 vs. the Clippers?

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Malcolm Brogdon DK $8.3k | FD $8k

vs. Detroit

The blowout potential is there vs. the Pistons, but the Pacers are still just a -4.5 favorite which means this one could be close. Malcolm Brogdon is coming off 29/15/7 vs. OKC last time out and gets a 4.77% usage and 18.34 fp bump without Sabonis and the other injuries Indiana is facing.

Dejounte Murray DK $7.2k | FD $7k

@New Orleans

Good spot for Dejounte Murray who is fresh after sitting out the Spurs back to back on Thursday. He could get the usage bump if DeMar DeRozan (quad) sits and up against a New Orleans team giving up 39 fp to opposing PG's over the past month (26th). Murray had 45fp vs. the Pels' at the end of February.

Cory Joseph DK $5.1k | FD $5k

@ Indiana

He's got to play first (GTD-ankle) but otherwise, it's a solid spot for Cory Joseph visiting his old stomping grounds of Indiana. That puts the Detroit PG in a hit spot as he has 24/5/5 and 18/5/13 in his last four games. The 40+ ceiling is there.

🍺Other Likes🍕 - Caris LeVert ($8.1k) is averaging 22 shots the last two games as the Pacers deal with injuries.

Lonnie Walker ($4k) may step up if Murray doesn't tonight for the Spurs against that Houston defense.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Joe Ingles DK $6.6k | FD $6.5k

vs. Minnesota

Joe Ingles gets his first home game in the starting lineup since the Donovan Mitchell injury. Ingles is still an SF on FanDuel but has 20+ real points in three games since moving to the starting SG spot. He's also dished out 23 assists and 13 rebounds in those contests and SG's are +136, putting up 36.48 fppg against Minnesota over the past month.

Aaron Gordon DK $5.5k | FD $5.1k

vs. Houston

Aaron Gordon played a manageable 27 minutes last night vs. Golden State, hitting for 30fp. Denver could see Michael Porter, Jr. limited a bit tonight after 36 mins last night, and Will Barton will likely be out with a hamstring injury.

Those injuries and a couple of other Denver ailments would give Gordon a 12% usage boost, and he's up against a Houston team that is dead last in the league defensively vs. the SF spot over the past month.

🍺Other Likes🍕 -  Bojan Bogdanovic ($5.9k) everything to like about Ingles vs. Minnesota applies to Bojan,

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Bam Adebayo DK $8.3k | FD $8.5k

vs. Chicago

Bam Adebayo is on the back to back tonight, but if he goes it's a great matchup vs. a Chicago defense that ranks 29th in the league vs. the C position. The Bulls have been better vs. the C's lately, but have played the likes of Vernon Carey, Tristan Thompson, and Jarrett Allen who aren't necessarily offensive-minded. Adebayo has 20+ real points in three of the last five.

Mason Plumlee DK $4.9k | FD $5.2k

@Indiana

The Pacers are a wreck in the frontcourt right now, giving up 47 rebounds to starting C's (Clint Capela, Rudy Gobert) over consecutive games last week. Mason Plumlee should be fresh after sitting out the back to back on Thursday, and had 13 points, 16 boards, and 7 assists when we last saw him on Wednesday against Dallas.
