Top NBA Plays 4/5 | Everybody In

There are 13 games lined up for Friday, which isn't even the biggest card of the weekend with 14 games on tap for Sunday. The regular season is winding down, so it's one of our last few opportunities to load up with a full slate of players.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

The Hornets taking on the Raptors offers a theme of the night in that the game really doesn't mean much to either team. Charlotte is technically not eliminated from the postseason yet, but that's just a formality, as they are 2.5 GB with 4 to play.

The Suns taking on the Pelicans looks like a good matchup - in terms of daily fantasy only. 8 of 10 starting positions face a defender 22nd or worse.

The Heat are a rough DFS play usually, but they are just 0.5 GB from Orlando for the 8 seed and have a very favorable offensive matchup vs. Minnesota.

The Clippers look like a good team to have exposure on as they have a "little brother" game with the Lakers with an O/U of 230.

The Trail Blazers have hung in the hunt despite injuries. They have a great chance to climb the Western Conference seedings with a tilt vs. the Nuggets.

The talent might not be there in New Orleans / Phoenix, but the matchups are.

Guards

Elie Okobo (DK: $3200 FD: $3600 Y! $10) Ownership: 0.03%

Low price and solid upside - that's all you can ask for in NBA DFS and that's what Elie Okobo has vs. the Pelicans. The Suns are decimated by injuries as they wind down the year with Devin Booker being the most notable one after injuring his ankle last game. There's opportunity for Okobo vs. a Pelicans squad that has allowed 40+ fantasy points to the last five PG's they've faced.

New Orleans has been getting lit up by PG lately.

Terrance Ross (DK: $5600 FD: $5400 Y! $18) Ownership 1.44%

The Magic desperately need a win today as they try to hold on to a 1/2 game lead over the Heat for the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Terrance Ross is in line for another big night. He's gone for 40+ fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 home games. The Hawks have also allowed at least 117 points in six straight games.

Jamal Murray (DK: $5700 FD: $7300 Y! $25) Ownership 10.08%

$6100 isn't a bad price tag for Jamal Murray, who has gone for 40+ fantasy points in 3 of the last 6. The Nuggets should be in a very close game vs. the Trail Blazers, who are on an 8-2 run over their last 10 despite losing CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic. The Trail Blazers have allowed at least 39 fp to 4 of the last 5 PGs they've faced and Damian Lillard's defense has struggled as he picks up even more of the offensive load.

Portland can be vulnerable vs. the PG as of late.

Forwards

Danilo Gallinari (DK: $7100 FD: $7500 Y!: $30) Ownership 4.64%

Danilo Gallinari had a down game last time out but that's what happens when you're down 32 points. Friday should go much better for Gallinari and the Clippers as they are in a very favorable matchup with the Lakers. Gallinari should be fresh after a night off and only playing 24 minutes on Wednesday. He still got off 12 shots over that span, so the production should be there even if the Clippers end up blowing out the Lakers (LAC -9.5).

Gallinari should have a return to the higher side of production vs. the Lakers.

Wayne Ellington (DK: $5000 FD: $4900 Y!: $11) Ownership 2.1%

Blake Griffin has missed the last two games for Detroit and Wayne Ellington has responded with 26/4/2 and 24/4/2 performances. Griffin could miss his third straight, which gives Ellington value again, especially against OKC. The Thunder defense has been a bit better lately, holding 4 of 6 opponents to 110 points or less, but Ellington has upside for the price regardless.

Julius Randle (DK: $8700 FD: $9000 Y! $36) Ownership 8.92%

There are going to be points scored in the Pelicans / Suns game and why not bank on Julius Randle to get some of that action? Randle has gone for 34/11 in two of the last three games and had a 24/9/5 contest prior to that. The Suns are banged up on the front line with Deandre Ayton out and Richaun Holmes also battling an ankle injury. No reason to think Randle doesn't approach another 50+ fp night.

Julius has been "Hard to Handle Randle" lately.

Center

Clint Capela (DK: $7900, FD; $8800 Y!:$30 ) Ownership 1.97%

Clint Capela has been on a roll lately with 40+ fantasy points in 4 of the past 5 games. He's a risky play Friday as the Rockets host the Knicks as -16.5 favorites. Even so, the Rockets destroyed the Clippers by 32 the last game and Capela still managed 17 shots and 15 rebounds.

Utility Player

Jordan Clarkson (DK:$5900 FD:$6400 Y!: $16) Ownership 3%

Jordan Clarkson could be an interesting GPP play as the Cavs are in a back-to-back today. They are also up against Golden State as +16 point underdogs, however. Clarkson has shot 16, 16, and 13 field goal attempts the last three outings and should be in line for increased opportunities with Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love possibly out vs. the Warriors.

It's one of the last weeks for a full full sports slate that includes the NBA regular season, so let's enjoy it. For more discussion, feel free to check out Carl Taylor (@dailydogsports) on Twitter for sports betting talk and DFS news.
