Top NBA Plays 4/6|Riddled

One of the big themes for the Tuesday, April 6th NBA slate is injury question marks. We don't know if Sabonis and Brogdon will play vs. the Bulls, if Jamal Murray is out for Denver, how healthy Antetokounmpo is, and exactly who is going to play for New Orleans.

Got to love the uncertainty, and thankfully all these teams took a Bill Belichick "Navigating the Injury Report 101" seminar this offseason. Let's see what we've got.

Today's NBA Matchups

Bulls (-1) @ Pacers, O/U 227, 7:00 PM ET

Chicago being a 1-point road favorite suggests we may not see Domantas Sabonis (ankle) and/or Malcolm Brogdon (hip). Neither played Saturday, but the Pacers have also had the last two nights off.

Pelicans @ Hawks (-3.5), O/U 228.5, 7:30 PM ET

Lonzo Ball returned last game for New Orleans, but this game is still an ambulance chaser's dream.

76ers (-2) @ Celtics, O/U 221.5, 7:30 PM ET

Joel Embiid returned Saturday for a 41fp outing on Saturday, but then sat out on Sunday. Jaylen Brown is off the injury report even though he's played the last three games as a GTD, but Evan Fournier is out for health and safety protocols.

Lakers @ Raptors (-1), O/U 208.5, 7:30 PM ET

The skeleton crew of the Raptors is a -1 point favorite even playing on 0 days rest. That tells you all you need to know about the Lakers right now.

Grizzlies @ Heat (-5), O/U 216, 8:00 PM ET

Memphis has won three of four, scoring a decent amount of points (116+) in each of those victories. Things get tougher against the Heat though, as Miami has won four straight while holding three of those opponents to 101 points or less.

Pistons @ Nuggets (-13.5), O/U 215, 9:00 PM ET

Does this spot have the potential for one of those 40+ point wins we saw so many of this weekend? Detroit is on the back to back, but breezed to a 132-108 win over the Thunder last night. Even so, visiting Colorado a night after playing is a bit tough.

Buckets (-6.5) @ Warriors, O/U 237, 10:00 PM ET

Oddsmakers aren't completely calling this a dominant Bucks win even though they have rattled off three straight on their current West Coast road trip. The Bucks have had the last two nights off, making Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) probable to play. Steph Curry (tailbone) is also probable.

Trail Blazers @ Clippers (-5.5), O/U 229, 10:00 PM ET

Portland has had the last two nights off, well three if you consider Saturday's 133-85 drubbing of the Thunder. Pretty high betting total for a Clippers game, as they've held four straight opponents under 105 points.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Paul George DK $8.1k | FD $8.7k

vs. Portland

The beef between Paul George and Damian Lillard is allegedly put to bed, but that didn't stop George from putting up 23/10/7 (52fp) in their first meeting this season. The Trail Blazers rank 29th vs. the SG, enough said.

Jrue Holiday DK $8k | FD $8.8k

@Golden State

Until Jrue Holiday lays that 14fp egg or his price reaches into the high $9ks you have to ride this hot hand. He's hit the perfect lineup in four straight and there's a (very) slight chance Antetokounmpo sits. Golden State has been decent vs. opposing PGs, but shoot the shot.

Caris LeVert DK $7.2k | FD $8k

vs. Chicago

The Bulls have struggled to defend the ball screen lately, giving up a 45 real point night to Devin Booker, 26 to Donovan Mitchell, and 24 points/15 assists to Kyrie Irving in the last three games. That bodes well for Caris LeVert, who had 26 points and 9 assists on Saturday. Indiana plays tomorrow night as well, so they may hold out Sabonis and Brogdon another night.

Marcus Smart DK $5.6k | FD $5.5k

vs. Philadelphia

Marcus Smart has hit just below 7X in his two matchups with the Sixers this season, scoring 25 and 20 real points on January 20th and 22nd. Smart has been in the perfect lineup in two of the last three, so does Fournier's absence tonight help or hurt him?

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Jerami Grant DK $6.9k | FD $6.4

@Denver

Jerami Grant gets his first matchup with his old 'mates, spending the 2019/20 season in Denver. This isn't a 🗡️Revenge Game🗡️per se, as the Nuggets matched the same 3-year, $60 million contract that Grant got in Detroit. There's still upside, with his price dropping below $7k for the first time in three months and in a game that could get ugly as Denver is a -13.5 point favorite.

Draymond Green DK $6.7k | FD $7.5k

vs. Milwaukee

When Curry is in the lineup Draymond Green is an assist machine, and he's got what should be a fast paced, high scoring matchup with Milwaukee tonight. Green has been in the perfect lineup the last three games he's played.

Thaddeus Young DK $6k | FD $6.5k

@Indiana

Thad Young returns to his old stomping grounds tonight, spending 2016 - 2019 with the Pacers. He's got a nice matchup tonight vs. an Indiana team possibly missing Sabonis. Young had 13/11/4 (37fp) vs. Indiana in February, and although the Bulls have Vucevic now, Thad also has a couple 40+ fp outputs in his last three.

James Johnson DK $5.2k | FD $5.8k

@Atlanta

Keep an eye on the injury report, but if Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram remain out then James Johnson is approaching 🔒🔒 status. With an expanded role lately Johnson has reached the perfect lineup in three straight games, gradually has increased production each night. Like New Orleans, Atlanta is banged up too and especially in the front court.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Joel Embiid DK $10.2k | FD $10.8k

@Boston

Nikola Jokic is in a possible blowout game with Detroit and Clint Capela is a GTD. That makes Joel Embiid or Nikola Vucevic your spend up plays at C tonight. Vucevic is a bit less expensive ($8.8k) but Embiid has 65 and 58 fp vs. Boston this year, and that's when the Celtics had the defensive presence of Daniel Theis. Boston recently gave up 23 boards to Moses Brown at the C position.

Enes Kanter DK $6k | FD $5.8k

@ Clippers

The matchup isn't great because the Clippers are a top 5 defense vs. the C position, but the price is. Jusuf Nurkic (knee inflammation) is out tonight, meaning the rebounding machine that is Enes Kanter is back to full usage. Kanter had three straight 15 rebound double-doubles before Nurkic returned, and grabbed 17 boards off the bench on Saturday.
