Top NBA Plays Friday April 15th| PG-C19

Heading into tonight's do-or-die play in tournament games the big news is Paul George getting a positive Covid test and being put into health and safety protocols. That deals a huge blow to the Clippers chances against the Pelicans, but does spread some value around for DFS purposes.

Atlanta and Cleveland go head to head in the other play-in game to see who moves on to play the #1 seed Miami Heat.

🏀Top Player Props April 15th 🏀

LineStar has a new Player Prop tab that lets you search for the best individual props through apps such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet. Here are some of the best bets for tonight:

🏀Trae Young (Over 30.5 points) -He was held to 24 points vs. the Hornets, but usually struggles against Charlotte and had just a 1-7 night from three point range. Young has scored 30+ in four of his last six postseason games and had 30+ in three of four vs. the Cavs this season.

🏀Ivica Zubac (Over 8.5 rebounds) - Grabbed 9 rebounds vs. Minnesota in the first play-in game but more importantly had 31 minutes after splitting with Isiah Hartenstein down the stretch (7 minutes). Zubac has 9+ rebounds in 6 of the last 7 including grabbing 14 vs. the Pelicans on April 3rd.

🏀Jose Alvarado (Over 5.5 points) - He hit 3 of 4 from three on Wednesday and played 22+ minutes for the fourth straight game - scoring at least 7 points in each of those four.

🏀De'Andre Hunter (Over 14.5 points) - He's shot at least 13 times in four of the last five games and has 22 points in back to back games.

🏀Caris LeVert (Over 4.5 assists) - Had 7 dimes vs. Brooklyn and at least 4 in 8 of his last 9. Also logged 40 minutes last game.

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups

Hawks (-2) @ Cavaliers, O/U 223 7:30 ET

Atlanta rolled to a 135-102 win over the Hornets on Wednesday night despite just 24 points from Trae Young. Clint Capela was dominant with 15 points and 17 rebounds (52fp), but that was also in the very favorable "bigs vs. Charlotte" matchup.

Capela's job gets a little tougher tonight with Cleveland center Jarrett Allen supposedly going to give things a go after being out since March 6th (finger). The Cavs battled back with Brooklyn before ultimately falling 115-108 on Tuesday. Darius Garland had 34 points in that matchup while Kevin Love made the perfect lineup with 14 points and 13 rebounds (36fp) on a $6k salary. Atlanta won the season series 3-1.

Pelicans @ Clippers (PK), O/U 215.5 10:00 ET

This line dropped from Clippers -4 when the announcement that Paul George had entered protocols. George had a 34.4% usage rate in Tuesday's 109-104 loss in Minnesota, scoring 34 points while taking 24 shots. Reggie Jackson took 18 shots on Tuesday and gets a nearly 5fp boost without PG13.

New Orleans was able to get past the Spurs 113-103 on Wednesday with solid outings from each of their big 3. CJ McCollum had 32 while Brandon Ingram (27) and Jonas Valanciunas (22/14) had nice production even while being on the injury report before the game.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Darius Garland DK $8.5k | FD $8.7k vs. Atlanta

  • Garland or CJ McCollum debate - as they'll both shoot 20+ times and play nearly 40 minutes

  • Garland is slightly cheaper and is also at home

  • Has shot 24+ times in 3 of the last 4, averaged 24 points and 8 assists in two games vs. Atlanta this year

Reggie Jackson DK $6.1k | FD $5.7k vs. New Orleans

  • 34% usage last game opening up with Paul George being out

  • Jackson took 18 shots and played 42 minutes vs. Minnesota

Rajon Rondo DK $3.4k | FD $4.5k vs Atlanta

  • He's got the postseason experience

  • Dished out 9 assists vs. the Nets, solid price for 26 minutes last game

  • Did play 27 games with the Hawks in 20/21

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Brandon Ingram DK $7.8k | FD $8.2k @ Clippers

  • Not a bad price with Paul George's defense out of the lineup

  • Scored 27 points in 29 minutes on Wednesday, may get a slight minute boost in his second game back from a hamstring injury

  • Averaged 21/8/5 in four games vs. LAC this season

Norman Powell DK $5.5k | FD $5.9k vs New Orleans

  • 6X should be doable with George in protocols

  • Shot 5-9 including 3-5 from three vs. Minnesota, do we double those attempts?

  • De'Andre Hunter is also a substitute here at $5.1k

Herbert Jones DK $4.8k | FD $5.5k @Clippers

  • Made the perfect lineup with 12/5/3 on Wednesday

  • Solid history vs. Clippers last three games averaging 14.3/6/2

  • 6X floor last three vs. LAC

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Clint Capela DK $7.2k | FD $7.7k @ Cleveland

  • Allen is going to try and play for Cavs, but Cleveland still allowed 18/10 to opposing centers last 20 games

  • Capela had 17 rebounds on Wednesday and is averaging 14.5 points and 13 rebounds in his last 10 games
