Top NBA Plays Friday April 1st| Grizzlies Bare

Despite the teams that are obviously tanking like the Pacers, Magic, Trail Blazers, or Lakers - most NBA squads have been playing things pretty 'per usual' as the regular season winds down. Phoenix for example has clinched the #1 seed for what seems like weeks, and they've still rattled off 9 wins in a row.

The first domino might start to fall tonight though, with Memphis benching nearly all of their key players as they have wrapped up the #2 seed. Even against the first place Suns, Taylor Jenkins is preferring to instead focus on the bigger picture of getting ready for the playoffs.

We may see more teams taking the Memphis approach next week, and tonight's 10-game slate definitely has some issues. Let's work through it together.

🏀Top Player Props April 1st 🏀

LineStar has a new Player Prop tab that lets you search for the best individual props through apps such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet. Here are some of the best bets for tonight:

🏀Isaiah Stewart (Double-Double = YES) -It's a good thing when you only have to worry about the points because Stewart has grabbed double-digit rebounds in 7 of the last 8 and OKC gives up 12.1 rebounds/game to opposing C's. No Marvin Bagley tonight for Detroit, and Stewart has 10+ in 3 of the last 4.

🏀Will Barton (Over 15.5 points) - He's increased his fg attempts last three games (16, 17, 13) and has scored 17+ points in four contests in a row. Highest betting total of the night (241.5) and Minnesota gives up 16.5 ppg to opposing SGs.

🏀Damian Jones (Over 6.5 rebounds) - Run it back in a rematch of Wednesday's game where he grabbed 9 boards. FanDuel and PointsBet haven't moved the number (others went up 1) even though Houston is allowing almost 13 rebounds/game to opposing C's over the past three, and 11 boards over the past 20 tilts.

🏀Dillon Brooks (Over 21.5 points) - He shoots 15+ times a game even when Memphis is at full strength and has scored 19+ in five straight. Expect a usage increase - if that's possible - with all the Grizzlies' absences.

🏀Tomas Satoransky (Under 6.5 points) - He's zoned in on facilitating right now, with 23 assists in the last two games. Has scored over 6 points twice in his last 11 games - with 8 of those being 3 points or less outings.

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups

Kings (-2) @ Rockets, O/U 232 8:00 ET

This is the first game on this slate with a single digit point spread (Toronto @ Orlando, Dallas @ Washington, and Indiana @ Boston all expected blowouts) and it looks like one of those Garbage Games 🗑️you have to be on like we've seen so much lately. Sacramento won this meeting 121-118 on Wednesday with plenty of DFS implications as Davion Mitchell, Damian Jones, Trey Lyles, Kevin Porter, Jr., and Jalen Green all had 40+ fp nights.

Suns (-7) @ Grizzlies, O/U 230 8:00 ET

Is this a target game for the likes of De'Anthony Melton and Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies or do we stay away? Memphis is benching almost everybody, which means the Suns could (should?) easily run away with this one as well.

Clippers @ Bucks (-8.5) , OU 232 8:00 ET

The Clips' had the Bulls on the ropes last night holding an 11-point lead with under 5 minutes left, but Chicago ended up with a 135-130 OT win thanks to a 50 Burger 🍔 from DeMar DeRozan. LAC is now on the back to back in Milwaukee, but at least the Bucks played last night too - also in OT - in a 120-119 win over the Nets.

Pistons (-4) @ Thunder, O/U 220 8:00 ET

Might be some targets to dig up out of this horrible game, especially with Oklahoma City running just an 8-man rotation down the stretch due to injuries. Detroit is on the back-to-back after beating the Sixers last night and has now taken down Philadelphia and Brooklyn in consecutive games.

Timberwolves @ Nuggets (-2.5), O/U 239.5 9:00 ET

There may not be enough time left for Minnesota to catch Denver for the 6 seed to avoid the play-in tournament, with the Nuggets holding a 3 game lead with 5 to play. Obviously how tonight's game plays out has a big factor in the final week of the regular season.

Pelicans (-2) @ Lakers, OU 230.5 10:30 ET

The Lakers are on the back to back after a 122-109 loss in Utah last night, but they could be getting some reinforcements with Lebron James and Anthony Davis game time decisions. L.A has lost the #10 seed to the Spurs following that defeat, and San Antonio has a pretty easy one tonight as -15 point favorites vs. the Trail Blazers making this a must-win for the Lakers.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Jalen Green DK $6.8k | FD $6.5k vs. Sacramento

  • Just set the rookie record for three-pointers in a month, has made at least 5 three's in four straight games

De'Anthony Melton DK $5.2k | FD $5.6k vs. Suns

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

  • Has hovered around 6X in 6 of the last 8, including 26 points in 28 minutes in a 37 point win over the Trail Blazers on March 23rd (38 fp)

Trey Lyles DK $6k | FD $5.4k @ Houston

  • Has hit 6X in 4 of the last 7

  • A rematch of Wednesday's 24 points, 7 rebounds (43fp) outing - although he did go to the line 12 times

  • Suns giving up 16/10 to opposing C's over the past 20 games
