Top NBA Plays Friday February 14th| Getting Prop-er
Many times in DFS it's our punt plays that cost us the glory. There's nothing worse than doing all your homework and top tier players coming through only to be let down by the Royce O'Neale's, Chris Boucher's, and Franz Wagner's of the world.
That is one thing that is nice about LineStar's new prop tool tab, it lets you find the best odds for props from multiple betting markets and at least lets you recoup some of your investment if DFS doesn't go the way as planned. In DFS you're playing the field, in prop bets you're only against the number.
We will continue to explore the prop tool and other optimizers heading into tonight's 9-game Monday banger. With the Super Bowl over, hoops officially takes center stage so let's see how it breaks down.
🏀Top 5 Player Props February 14th 🏀
LineStar has a new Player Prop tab that lets you search the best individual props through apps such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet. Here are some of the best bets for tonight:
🏀Dejounte Murray (Over 40.5 points, rebounds, assists) - He's going to be knocking on the door of a triple double tonight averaging 31.5/8.5/13.5 in the two games since Derrick White has been traded. Josh Richardson's debut might put a slight dent in that production, but the Bulls have allowed a trip-dub to Josh Giddey and 33 /9/5 to LaMelo Ball over their last three. This game also has a 234.5 betting total.
🏀DeMar DeRozan (Over 31.5 points) - He is not only on a tear with 31+ points in six straight games, but Zach LaVine is also out of the Bulls lineup probably until after the all-star break which gives DeRozan's already high usage a 6% increase. He can tie Michael Jordan for the Bulls record with 7-straight 30+ games and is playing his old mates the Spurs in a game with an O/U of 234.5.
🏀Brandon Ingram (Under 31.5 points, rebounds, assists) - He looks completely lost since the addition of CJ McCollum, posting a 15/1/3 and 22/2/2 line so far. He's got 13 turnovers the last three games and just looks out of sorts. Ingram is also up against a Toronto team that is in the top half in defensive efficiency and the bottom 7 in pace.
🏀Isaiah Stewart (Over 8.5 rebounds) - 11+ rebounds in 7 straight games with regular minutes (only had 2 last Thursday vs. Memphis because of foul trouble. Plays Washington who has allowed 9+ to 4 of the past 5 C's including 16 to Deandre Ayton and 14 to Joel Embiid.
🏀Kyle Kuzma (Over 4.5 assists) -In the two games since the trade deadline Kuzma has played 73 minutes and dished out 17 assists with a 25.1% usage rate. That's 10 and 7 assists in two games heading into a meeting with a Detroit team that has allowed 136.5 ppg their last two.
Tonight's Key NBA Matchups
Pistons @ Wizards (-4) O/U 218.5 7:00 ET
Nice target game here with the Pistons giving up 136.5 ppg their last two while the Wizards are coming off a 123-110 loss to Sacramento. Kristaps Porzingis (knee) won't make his Washington debut yet, but Marvin Bagley III could be in the lineup for Detroit for the 1st time.
Kings (-2) @ Nets, O/U 228 7:30 ET
The Nets haven't won since January 21st and now are without Kyrie Irving for the next four games (3 at home, 1 against the Knicks) due to COVID restrictions. Brooklyn could have Andre Drummond and Seth Curry available for their team debuts but they've got a Sacramento squad that is actually playing kind of well with wins in three of their last four.
Spurs @ Bulls (-3.5) O/U 234.5 8:00 ET
DeMar DeRozan had 52fp in his first "revenge🗡️" game with the Spurs on January 28th but it really doesn't matter who he plays against lately with a 53fp floor in 4 of the last 5. It should be another big night for DeRozan as Chicago's Zach LaVine has left the team to see a knee specialist and may be shut down until after the all-star break.
DeMar DeRozan on Zach LaVine: “As bad as I know he wants to play, he’s gotta take care of his body.”

Raptors (-3.5) @ Pelicans , O/U 222.5 8:00 ET
Toronto had an 8-game losing streak come to an end with a 110-109 home loss to Denver on Saturday, but now look to get back on track against a Pelicans team still looking for their first win since CJ McCollum joined the team (0-2). McCollum has averaged 45 fp since joining New Orleans, but his presence has killed Brandon Ingram's value so far (20 and 27 fp in two games).
Warriors (-6) @ Clippers, O/U 219.5 10:30 ET
Klay Thompson might be John Wick right now, as he looks back after going for 34+ fp in four straight including a season high 33 real points Saturday in a win over the Lakers.
Other Games …
The rest of the slate is kind of blowout/boring potential. The Knicks host the Thunder with a betting total of just 207.5, Portland visits Milwaukee as +14.5 underdogs while the Nuggets and Jazz are both double-digit favorites against the Magic and Rockets respectively.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Dejounte Murray DK $11k | FD $10.8k @ Chicago
66fp is doable after he's posted a 72fp average in two games since Derrick White was traded
Bulls get lit up by PGs, giving up a triple double to Josh Giddey (11/12/10) and 33/9/5 to LaMelo Ball over their last three games
Dropped 29/9/12 vs. the Bulls on January 28th
Coby White DK $6k | FD $6.4k vs. Spurs
16/9/5 on Saturday with Zach LaVine out of the lineup (38fp)
Spurs giving up 18/4 to opposing SGs

Cam Thomas DK $5.7k | FD $7.1k vs. Sacramento
No chance on FD, but solid DK pricing after a 29fp floor last five games
Seth Curry coming in to get the start, but at the same time Brooklyn loses Kyrie Irving playing back in New York
Thomas has 22+ real points in 4 of past 5 - all perfect lineups
Spurs have the worst reserve defense in NBA
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Julius Randle DK $9.6k | FD $10k vs. Oklahoma City
RJ Barrett has been out the last two games and Julius Randle has responded by averaging 28/16/6.5 over that span
Randle was balling even when Barrett was in the lineup, going for 50+ in five of the last six
20+ shots in five straight games
Harrison Barnes DK $6.7k | FD $7.1k @Brooklyn
21+ real points in five straight games, the perfect lineup in three of those
Brooklyn has the 6th worst defensive efficiency in the league in the last 3 games
Nets 28th defensively vs. SF last 20 games (32 fppg)
Darius Bazley DK $6.4k | FD $6.6k @ New York
34+ minutes in 6 of 7 games
Took 21 shots Saturday in 106-101 loss to the Bulls so low scoring game vs. Knicks should hurt him too much, also grabbed 15 rebounds Friday
Lu Dort (shoulder) out for OKC (3% usage, 4fp boost)
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Bobby Portis DK $6.8k | FD $6.5k vs. Portland
Milwaukee looks like they are going to rest Giannis Antetokounmpo's ankle in what is an expected blowout game
Portis just had 30/4/5 in Portland last Saturday, he likely won't hit 6/8 from three again but should have better peripherals
Giannis Antetokounmpo has moved to doubtful (left ankle soreness) for tonight’s game.

6:58 PM • Feb 14, 2022
Hassan Whiteside DK $5.9k | FD $7.3k vs Houston
No chance on FanDuel, but nice DK pricing after 50 and 46 fp the last two games
Rudy Gobert (calf) at shootaround today, but Whiteside also has 17.5 rebounds/game last two playing less than 30 minutes
Rockets reserve defense 5th worst in NBA
