Top NBA Plays Friday January 21st| Lofty Lines

Oddsmakers aren't shy with dishing out high-point spreads on tonight's 11-game NBA slate. Before you automatically count those as blowout games though, it doesn't seem like the Bulls (even shorthanded) should be +10.5 at Milwaukee while Houston has a chance to finish their road trip 4-1 and shouldn't be +10.5 at a Golden State.

Even Detroit (+14) has a chance against the Donovan Mitchell-less Jazz who have lost six of seven. Let's see how the rest of the card breaks down.

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups

Heat @ Hawks (-1.5), O/U 219.5 7:30 ET

The Heat have won six of their last seven and could be getting Kyle Lowry back from a two game absence for personal reasons. Tyler Herro will still be out for Miami in protocols, as the Hawks have won two straight at home while dropping the previous 10 on their own court.

Trail Blazers @ Celtics (-8), O/U 212 7:30 ET

Marcus Smart (thigh) could be back in the lineup tonight which might kill a bit of Dennis Schroder's recent uptick of 38, 47, and 47 fp. Robert Williams is also back for Boston after the birth of his son, so it's interesting to whether Jusuf Nurkic can continue his trend of 50 rebounds over the last three games.

Raptors @ Wizards (-1), O/U 219 8:00 ET

You have to like Toronto coach Nick Nurse for DFS purposes as he's used just a 7-man rotation in each of the last two games. This one is weird though with the Raptors wrapping up a 5-game road trip and Washington playing their sixth straight at home.

Bulls @ Bucks (-10.5), O/U 227.5 8:00 ET

Chicago is still hanging on to the top spot in the East, but you have to think this is a flex game for the Bucks as a reminder that it's still their crown to take. The -10.5 line does seem a bit on the high side even though the Bulls are still pretty banged up.

Nets (-1) @ Spurs, O/U 232 8:30 ET

It could be a James Harden ($11.8k) night with no Kevin Durant for the foreseeable future but also with some rumors that Kyrie Irving is questionable tonight for personal reasons. The Spurs meanwhile seem to have a clear injury report which is a rarity in this NBA climate.

Grizzlies @ Nuggets (-3.5), O/U 224.5 9:00 ET

Ja Morant ($9.3k) went for 67fp on Wednesday as Memphis deals with a rash of players in COVID protocols as well as Dillon Brooks out with an ankle injury.

Rockets @ Warriors (-10.5), O/U 228 10:00 ET

The spread seems a bit off in this one with Golden State playing on the back to back after a 121-117 loss to Indiana last night. Steph Curry logged 44 minutes and it will be interesting to see what Steve Kerr does with Klay Thompson who sat out the Warriors last back to back.
