The Miami Heat are in action tonight as part of the 7-game slate, so we get to see if any tensions will blow over from the Jimmy Butler / Erik Spoelstra / Udonis Haslem near triple threat match on Wednesday night. Aside from the Lakers, Miami is playing the perfect team to get dysfunctional against in the Knicks so let's just hope we get Julius Randle back from his quad injury.

The undercards for tonight's games don't have a ton of intrigue, except maybe Dallas getting Luka Doncic back in a somewhat critical Western Conference matchup with Minnesota. We'll see if Trae Young can go for 40+ again and keep the Warriors slide going, and somebody has to win in Washington @ Detroit and Portland @ Houston.

🏀Isaiah Stewart (Over 8.5 rebounds) -Interesting number since he's grabbed double-digit rebounds in four straight and the Wizards have allowed 10+ to 4 of the last 5 starting C's save for Brook Lopez. Washington gives up 9.1 rebounds/game to starting C's over the past 20 games.

🏀Joel Embiid (Over 11.5 rebounds) - He should be good for at least a dozen here considering Jokic has grabbed 14 and Gobert 16 in the last two games vs. the Clippers. Embiid only has 12+ in 6 of his last 9, but he's also grabbed 13+ in four of the last five vs. LAC.

🏀Patrick Beverley (Under 10.5 points ) -He's made just 4 field goals total in two games vs. Dallas this season, including only 8 points in 31 minutes last Sunday. Won't be thinking offense while guarding Doncic, and has been held to single-digit points in 6 of the last 8.

🏀Donovan Mitchell (Over 27.5 points) - Has hit for 30+ in four straight since the Bogdanovic calf injury, including 37 in a 28-point loss to Boston on Wednesday. Utah gets a slight pace boost against the Hornets as well.

🏀Drew Eubanks (Over 24.5 points and rebounds) - Number seems a couple of digits too high, but Houston's defense is that bad vs. opposing C's allowing 18.9 points and 10.3 rebounds over the past 20. Eubanks is making the most of his opportunity with 16+ points in 5 of his last 7 and 8+ rebounds in 6 of his last 7. The matchup should push him 'over' the number.

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups

Jazz (-3.5) @ Hornets, O/U 232.5 7:00 ET

The Hornets had a 5-game win streak going, but played to parity in their last game falling 121-106 at home to the Knicks on Wednesday. Charlotte still might be alright up against a Utah team playing their 4th straight road game and coming off a 28-point loss in Boston. The big loss still didn't cool down Donovan Mitchell who had 37 points, his 4th straight with 30+

Warriors @ Hawks (-2), O/U 220 7:30 ET

Golden State rested Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Otto Porter, Jr. on the back to back on Wednesday - and subsequently went out and beat the Eastern Conference leading Heat 🤷🏼. Golden State had lost three straight prior, so who knows how this one plays out.

Knicks @ Heat (-7.5) , OU 215.5 8:00 ET

A visit from the Knicks will be chicken soup for the soul in the Heat locker room, as Miami has beaten New York five straight times and in 9 of the last 10. The Knicks have won three of their last five though, holding on to faint play-in tournament hopes, 5 GB from Atlanta for the #10 seed but with just 9 to play.

Mavs @ Timberwolves (-2), O/U 228 8:00 ET

Minnesota is surging towards just their second postseason appearance since 2004 - which they'll take - but it would be a much better trip if they can avoid the play-in tournament. The T'Wolves are just a game back from Denver for the 6 seed, but they won't get any reprieve from a Dallas team tied with the Jazz at the #4/#5 seed, the winner of which would get home court in the first-round series. Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns did catch a GTD for this one (forearm) but he should play by most accounts.

Rockets (-3.5) @ Trail Blazers , OU 235.5 10:00 ET

Not all entertaining games on tonight's slate have to revolve around postseason seeding because those waved bye-bye to Houston a long time ago and nobody ever considered the Trail Blazers a threat even though they are still just 3.5 back from the #10 seed. This game has the highest betting total on a somewhat low-scoring slate, which means another round of Portland Roulette.

Sixers (-5.5) @ Clippers, O/U 222 10:30 ET

Even though he played with the Nets back then, James Harden had some pretty solid outings vs. the Clippers back in late December / early January posting a 39/8/15 line in L.A and then 34/12/13 back at home 5 days later for a 76.5 fp average. The Sixers have been in Los Angeles since Wednesday, when they beat the Lakers 126-121. Harden had just 24/7/7 (44fp) but four different Philadelphia players scored 20+ points in that game.

• Making the most of his opportunity with 26+ real points in 5 of the last 6

• Averaging over 20 shots per game in the last three since Steph Curry has been out

• Has seen a slight uptick lately with 42 and 46fp last two games

• Matchup play with Knicks giving up 23/5/7 to opposing PGs over last 20 games

• Lowry had a 40+ fp game vs. NYK on Feb. 25th, posting a 19/9/4

Ben McLemore DK $3.7k | FD $4.2k vs. Houston

• Playing his old pals Houston, who have given up a 35+ fp to 4 of the past 5 SGs

• When he gets minutes he launches, with 12+ shots in his last two games playing over 15 mins

• Starting for 2nd straight game was 4-12 Wednesday vs. Boston but had 0 rebounds - which should change against Charlotte

• Charlotte allowing 14.5 points and 7.2 rebounds to opposing PFs

• He's -450 to record a double-double tonight, meaning that's inevitable
