Top NBA Plays May 10th| Sandals Week
It's the last Monday of the NBA regular season, which means a lot of the teams are starting to check out mentally (if they haven't already) for their upcoming offseason vacation plans. That's going to make things interesting, so let's see which G-Leaguers disrupt our plans tonight.
Today's NBA Matchups
Wizards +7.5 @ Hawks, O/U 236.5 7:30 PM ET
No Bradley Beal (hamstring) which gives Russ a 6% usage and 7fp bump. That's just not fair - yet Washington is a pretty significant underdog as the Hawks have had the last three nights off.
Pacers (-7.5) @ Cavs, O/U 230.5 7:30 PM ET
Cleveland has dropped 10 straight and also plays on a back to back tonight after falling 124-97 against Dallas on Sunday. Should be a big Pacers win, but Indiana also clashes with Philly tomorrow night so minutes for starters could be preserved.
Pelicans @ Grizzlies (-9), O/U 228.5 8:00 PM ET
The Pelicans were able to beat Charlotte by 2 yesterday even without Zion Williamson (finger) and Brandon Ingram (ankle) as well as Steven Adams (toe). Being that shorthanded again as well as on the b2b has New Orleans, huge underdogs, in Memphis tonight.
Bucks (-6.5) @ Spurs, O/U 233.5 8:30 PM ET
This line seems quite low for a Milwaukee team that has won five straight, has nobody on the injury report, and has had the last two nights off. San Antonio has also dropped 6 of 7, is the cheese set for the Milwaukee trap?
Jazz (-3) @ Warriors, O/U 226.5 10:00 PM ET
Utah has a 2-game lead over Phoenix for home court throughout the playoffs with just 4 to play. The Jazz have rattled off five straight wins - but they were all at home so maybe Golden State pulls one out as just +3 underdogs.
Rockets at Trail Blazers (-15), O/U 23810:00 PM ET
Another day, another 15+ point spread for the Rockets. That's three straight, but they've kept their last two losses to Milwaukee (133-141) and Utah (116-124) close while giving up a ton of points - got to love that for DFS purposes. Portland has won 7 of 8, scoring 124+ points in six of them so it's a good 'Blazers target night.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Russell Westbrook DK $11k | FD $12.4k
@ Atlanta
It would be nice to find somebody to pivot away from Russell Westbrook with since ownership is going to be roughly101%. That being said, an 80 point floor is nice to lock in the lineup - especially against Atlanta and with Bradley Beal out.
Donte DiVincenzo DK $5.2k | FD $5.2k
@San Antonio
Solid matchup for Donte DiVincenzo as the Spurs have given up 30+ to five straight at the SG position. DiVincenzo has hit for 30+ in three straight and dropped 40+ vs. the Spurs on March 20th.
DaQuan Jeffries DK $4.4k | FD $4.6k
@Portland
Decent price point for DaQuan Jeffries, who at the very least plays a ton of minutes (37+ in two of the last three). He's confident after taking 14 shots last game and gets a matchup with the Portland defense.
🍺Other Likes🍕 - Steph Curry ($10.5k) - got a matchup with the Western Conference leading Jazz, who are also pretty thin in the backcourt. Curry has hit podium in four straight.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
DeMar DeRozan DK $7.9k | FD $8.2
vs. Milwaukee
The Spurs are only +6.5 underdogs tonight which looks like a trap bet on Milwaukee. That gives DeMar DeRozan upside in a potential San Antonio upset, getting the 3rd best pace boost of the night.
KJ Martin, Jr. DK $6.2k | FD $7.1k
@Portland
KJ Martin's price has hit $6k+ for the first time, but there's still some upside as he's played 39+ minutes the last three, taking 17, 21, and 19 shots. A matchup with Portland's #29 defense never hurts.
Danilo Gallinari DK $4.8k | FD $6.3k
vs. Washington
Great DK spot for Danilo Gallinari, who has 15+ points and 5+ rebounds the last three. Atlanta has had the last three nights off (+11%) and is in a matchup with Washington (O/U 236.5) who is 27th defensively vs. reserves.
🍺Other Likes🍕 - Jaren Jackson, Jr. ($6k) great chance for 6X in this spot against a Pelicans team on the b2b and that ranks 27th defensively vs. the PF position.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Jonas Valanciunas DK $8.2k | FD $8k
vs. New Orleans
The Pelicans are incredibly thin in the frontcourt without Adams, Williamson, and Ingram - and are also playing on the b2b. The Pels have the best rebounding rate in the league, but that's with those three in the lineup. Worth a play on Valanciunas, who has 16+ rebounds in four of five.
Jarrett Allen DK $6.8k | FD $6.8k
vs. Indiana
Ownership should be low for Jarrett Allen, who has a ceiling of 38 fp over his past five games. The matchup is there, as Indiana is 30th vs. the C position giving up almost 40fppg. Allen played a manageable 26 minutes yesterday as well with Cleveland on the b2b.
