Top NBA Plays May 12th| Future Prep
With just a handful of NBA games left in the regular season, teams really need to start looking towards the future. For squads like Washington, that means resting up for the play-in tournament (one would think). For a team like Atlanta, that means fighting hard for the 4 seed, and for somebody like Houston that equates to seeing which of these G-Leaguers have a spot for next season.
Teams are in a wide variety of situations heading into this 6-game Wednesday slate, let's see how it pans out.
Today's NBA Matchups
Wizards @ Hawks (-6.5), O/U 240.5 7:00 PM ET
These two teams battled to a 125-124 Atlanta win on Monday, but at what point does Washington start focusing on the play-in game against Indiana or Charlotte, which they are seemingly locked in to? The Hawks are in a battle for the 4 seed, so they need this one.
Spurs @ Nets (-4.5), O/U 233.5 8:00 PM ET
Does Brooklyn rest anybody following a 115-107 win over the Bulls last night? The Nets are 2 GB of the Sixers with three to play, is it time to start focusing on the postseason...or do they work James Harden back into the lineup here?

Celtics (-9.5) @ Cavs, O/U 219.5 8:00 PM ET
Boston is looking for their 'get right' game after dropping two straight to the Heat and 4 of 5 overall. The C's are on the back to back and on the road, but still pretty significant favorites against a Cavs team that has lost 11 straight.
Pelicans @ Mavs (-10), O/U 224.5 9:00 PM ET
New Orleans has alternated wins and losses the last six games, and coming off a 110-115 defeat at Memphis on Monday does that trend continue? The Mavs are on the b2b after getting destroyed 133-104 by that Grizzlies team last night - even with Memphis on 0 days rest.

Trail Blazers @ Jazz (-3), O/U 235.5 9:30 PM ET
Portland is hot, winning 8 of their last 9 while scoring 124+ in 7 of those. Even while a little banged up, the Jazz are still 31-4 at home this year though and play their last regular season game at Vivint Arena tonight.
Rockets @ Lakers (-13.5), O/U 223.5 10:30 PM ET
The Lakers are on the b2b after a very low scoring 101-99 win in OT over the Knicks last night. Any chance of seeing Anthony Davis tonight after he logged 43:27 vs. New York on Tuesday?
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Russell Westbrook DK $12.4k | FD $12.6k
@ Atlanta
Even with the DK jump from $11k to $12.4, 6X is 'just' 74 fp for Russell Westbrook, a number he's hit in 5 of 6 including against tonight's opponent Atlanta in their game on Monday. Keep on keeping on.
Jordan Clarkson DK $7.5k | FD $7.6k
vs. Portland
Jordan Clarkson has hit the perfect lineup in three of the last four games, a trend which should continue as the Jazz try to clinch home court throughout the playoffs. Portland has won 8 of 10, so this one should be close and Clarkson is getting the looks, taking 33 shots against Golden State on Monday.
Here are some of the reasons why Jordan Clarkson SHOULD win the Sixth Man of the Year award 💯🏀

Aaron Nesmith DK $3.2k | FD $4.2k
@Cleveland
DK punt play with Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker, and Marcus Smart out. Aaron Nesmith has a 20fp average the last two games despite not getting 20+ minutes, so with more time should come more productivity, especially against Cleveland.
Remember when people were calling Aaron Nesmith the best shooter in the draft? Well, he's coming alive.
Nesmith leads all NBA players in 3P% over the past month (min 30 attempts)
1. Nesmith – 53.3%
2. Seth Curry – 52.9%
3. Neto – 52.3%
4. Durant – 51.7%
5. Marcus Morris – 50.7%— Taylor Snow (@taylorcsnow)

🍺Other Likes🍕 - Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($6.2k) steps into the starting lineup for Lonzo Ball tonight and isn't afraid to launch, taking 16 shots in 24 minutes on Monday.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
DeMar DeRozan DK $8k | FD $7.9
@Brooklyn
Will the Spurs keep this one close? DeMar DeRozan has hit 40+ fp the last two times San Antonio has been within a dozen points, but that's over the course of the last five games. The line is BKN -4.5, so the value should be there.
KJ Martin, Jr. DK $6.6k | FD $7.3k
@ Lakers
Another night, another perfect lineup for KJ Martin, Jr. That's four straight, and the matchup isn't that bad with the Lakers being on the back to back.
Evan Fournier DK $5.5k | FD $7.2k
@ Cleveland
Evan Fournier has 8 assists the last two games (both against the Heat) which has helped him to a 48fp average, but can that continue against the Cavs? You pay to see it with the DK pricing, as Fournier has hit 34+ in five straight and SFs are +130 vs. Cleveland the past month.
🍺Other Likes🍕 -Kyle Kuzma ($5.4k) no sense in Anthony Davis playing tonight on the back to back, putting Kuzma in a great spot vs. one of the worst defenses in the NBA.
Talen Horton-Tucker ($4.5k) coming off a 37fp game and up against the Rockets.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Clint Capela DK $8.6k | FD $7.6k
vs. Washington
Clint Capela just grabbed 22 rebounds against the Wizards on Monday and had 48 fp despite scoring just 10 points. It was the 4th time in the last five games that Washington has allowed 40+ to an opposing C, so run it back.
Jarrett Allen DK $6.9k | FD $6.5k
vs. Boston
How many times can Jarrett Allen disappoint? The answer - one more. If the Cavs C doesn't hit value tonight he's done (granted there will be only two more Cleveland games after this). The matchup is there with a Boston team that gave up 15 boards to Mo Bamba and 14 to Nikola Vucevic over the last four games and has allowed 40+ to four of five centers. Not to mention, the Celtics are on the b2b and Robert Williams is iffy with a toe injury.
