Top NBA Plays Monday November 8th| Attack the Close Game Angle?

One of the best ways we can luck into DFS success is attacking a game that looks like it will be close and possibly go into OT. We've got a few of those on the slate tonight even in games that might not look like they're going to be offensive shows.

The Knicks visit the Sixers in a game with a 1-point spread, the Bulls are -1.5 favorites over the Nets, and the Heat are -1.5 at the Nuggets in games largely featuring good defenses but are expected to be tight.

The Timberwolves at the Grizzlies (-6) and the Pelicans at the Mavericks (-8.5) are the two games on this 8-game slate that have a spread higher than 3-points so it's looking like a nice tight night of close basketball. Let's get after it.

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups

Knicks @ 76ers (-1), O/U 213.5 7:00 PM ET

The 76ers have almost somewhat quietly built a six-game win streak with a great chance of pushing it to 7 as the Knicks play on the back to back. New York lost 126-109 on Sunday at home against Cleveland, their third loss in the last four games.

Note: Joel Embiid (rest) is out tonight

Nets @ Bulls (-1.5), O/U 216.5 8:00 PM ET

Brooklyn is coming into their own with five straight wins but are still +1.5 underdogs in Monday's visit to the United Center. The Nets are in the back to back after a 116-103 win over Toronto with Kevin Durant and James Harden both logging 37+ minutes.

Timberwolves @ Grizzlies (-6), O/U 217.5 8:00 PM ET

This would be a good game to target with Minnesota running the #3 pace and Memphis #8. The T'Wolves are in perpetual blowout mode though as they've lost by 18, 11, and 20 points in the last three of their four game losing streak.

Heat (-1.5) @ Nuggets , O/U 205 9:00 PM ET

Good contrarian target game here? Miami is 3rd in defensive efficiency but Denver is almost surprisingly second in that category. Supremely low betting total at 205.

Hawks @ Warriors (-3.5) O/U 222 10:00 PM ET

Does Steph Curry ($10.5k) lose any value being on the back to back, even though last night's 120-107 win over Houston was pretty easy? Does Curry just lose value since he's been held to 42fp or less in five of the last six?

Suns (-2.5) @ Kings O/U 226 10:00 PM ET

226 point betting total looks nice, and the Suns should have some value playing a Kings team coming off a 94-91 loss to the Pacers last night. Phoenix has rattled off four straight wins, and has gone for 120+ the last two.

Hornets @ Lakers (-1.5) O/U 227 10:30 PM ET

L.A is just a -1.5 favorite tonight which comes with Lebron James out (abdominal) and Anthony Davis leaving the last game after a stomach illness and being probable. The Hornets are getting beat up on their West Coast road trip though with a 22 point loss to Golden State, losing by 30 to the Kings, and being on a back to back after a 14-point loss to the Clippers last night.
