Top NBA Plays Tuesday April 5th| Lakers Out?
The NBA stepped aside last night to let college hoops have center stage, so now everybody is fresh for this huge 12-game pro hoops slate. One of the big headlines is the Lakers fighting for their play-in life, facing elimination if the Spurs beat the Nuggets and L.A falls to Phoenix.
The Bulls can punch their ticket to the postseason (avoiding the play-in) with a win over the Bucks, but Chicago is 0-17 vs. the top three teams in both conferences.
Other than that the storylines are going to dwindle more and more as we push towards Sunday's regular-season finale. Let's get to it:
The Los Angeles Lakers remain in desperation mode as they inch closer to being eliminated from play-in berth consideration. reut.rs/3LLPCaB

🏀Top Player Props April 5th 🏀
LineStar has a new Player Prop tab that lets you search for the best individual props through apps such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet. Here are some of the best bets for tonight:
🏀Bam Adebayo (Over 10.5 rebounds) -He's got 12+ rebounds in two of the last four, and the Hornets have given up 14, 10, 19, 17, and 19 boards to the last five starting centers.
🏀Andre Drummond (Over 11.5 points) - Could be a blowout with the Nets -17 point favorites, but he also had 13 rebounds in 18 minutes on Saturday - the 5th straight game in double figures. Rockets allowing 11.6 rebounds/game to opposing centers over the past 20.
🏀Kristaps Porzingis (Over 8.5 rebounds) - He's grabbed 9 in six of the last eight, and TimberWolves have allowed double digit rebounds to four straight starting centers including 15 and 19 in the last two games.
🏀Moses Brown (Over 9.5 rebounds) - Has grabbed at least 9 rebounds in four straight games in the starting lineup, including 12.7 over the past three games.
Tonight's Key NBA Matchups
Hornets @ Heat (-5.5), O/U 226.5 7:30 ET
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra is in the health and safety protocols, but Miami's Jimmy Butler has been upgraded to probable with a toe injury. Miami has a 2 game lead in the East with 3 to play, but still have plenty going on with their injury report.
Hawks @ Raptors (-4), O/U 226 7:30 ET
Atlanta got hot this time of year last season, and they're doing it again with a five game win streak. The Hawks are in the #8 seed but Toronto can also avoid the play-in tournament with a win and a loss by the Cavs.
Bucks (-5) @ Bulls , OU 233 8:00 ET
The Bulls are trying to end a 5-year playoff drought, but to do so will require snapping an 0-17 mark vs. the top two teams in each conference this year. Milwaukee is in the #3 seed, 2.5 back from Miami for the top spot in the East but with 4 games to play.
Bulls about to move to 0-17 against Mil, Miami, Philly, Phx, GState and Memphis this season. I'll throw Boston in to make you all feel better because I'm Mr. Positive - 1-18.

Spurs @ Nuggets (-9), O/U 234.5 9:00 ET
Dejounte Murray has missed the last two games with a non-COVID illness, but San Antonio still won mostly because they had the benefit of playing Portland in each of those. The degree of difficulty ramps up a bit tonight against Nikola Jokic, who has gone for 32/16/7, 22/13/10, and 35/17/8 in 3 games vs. the Spurs this season.
Grizzlies @ Jazz (-5.5), OU 225 9:00 ET
Memphis has clinched the #2 seed but is still rolling with 7 straight wins down the stretch. The Grizzlies are strangely still +5.5 underdogs even though the Jazz have dropped 6 of their last 7. The Grizzlies could play a little light with their roster here though too.
Pelicans (-8) @ Kings, OU 225.5 10:00 ET
The Pelicans can clinch their spot in the play-in tournament tonight and more importantly a victory will help them stay up on San Antonio in the battle for #9/#10. The #9 hosts the play-in against the #10.
Lakers @ Suns (-11.5), OU 225 9:00 ET
L.A. has dropped 6 in a row and 19 of their last 24, so do they even want to get into the play-in tournament at this point? LeBron James has 36+ real points in his last 5 and Anthony Davis has 50 and 60fp in his two games since returning to the lineup - but both are also GTD per usual.
Lakers star LeBron James (ankle) will miss second consecutive game tonight vs. Suns.
