Top NBA Plays Tuesday December 1st| Bucks Shot?
It's a 9-game NBA Wednesday and one of the more intriguing matchups on the slate is the Hornets visiting Milwaukee. The Bucks could be in a blowout spot as -9 point favorites, but Charlotte is also #3 in pace and has given up 131.3 ppg over their last three meaning fantasy points can be accumulated in a hurry.
It's basically the same situation with the Clippers as -8 point favorites over the Kings, and Sacramento allowing 127.3 ppg over their last three should put LAC as a target of some sort.
Minnesota also visits Washington in what would have been a lock spot last season, the Sixers tangle with a full strength Boston, and the Cavs aim to continue their strong start on the road vs. a banged-up Heat squad. Let's see how it shakes out.
Tonight's Key NBA Matchups
Hawks @ Pacers (-1), O/U 218 8:00 ET
One big note for this game is that Chris Jent will serve as the interim coach as Nate McMillan isolates due to close contact. The Pacers' Myles Turner could also be out again (non-COVID illness) and Minnesota exploited his absence on Monday to a 32 real point performance from Karl-Anthony Towns.
Timberwolves @ Wizards (-4), O/U 216 7:00 ET
Minnesota has won 7 of their last 8, and Washington is 7-2 so something has to give tonight. The Wizards have won three in a row in this head to head series, but back when they ran a little bit faster pace scoring 128, 130, and 137 in those victories.
Sixers @ Celtics (-3), O/U 206.5 7:30 ET
Boston should have Jaylen Brown, Dennis Schroder, and Robert Williams back on the court after they were all GTDs in Sunday's win over Toronto. This will be Joel Embiid's third game back from COVID restrictions (71 and 44 fp).
Cavs @ Heat (-4.5), O/U 206 7:30 ET
Cleveland could be the target here after they were up by as many as 31 points in Monday's win over the Mavericks. Tyler Herro (illness) is expected back but limited after recovering from the flu, Bam Adebayo is out with a thumb injury, and Jimmy Butler could sit a second straight game with a bruised tailbone.
Hornets @ Bucks (-9), O/U 230.5 8:00 ET
This is a potential blowout game with Milwaukee 9 point favorites, but at the same time, it features the highest betting total of the night and two of the top 10 teams in pace. We may not need a ton of minutes to see bundles of points.
Rockets @ Thunder (-2.5), O/U 216 8:00 ET
Not a hard game to handicap considering these two teams met up Monday in a 102-89 Rockets win although that was in Houston. Christian Wood had 24 points and 21 rebounds (60fp) - anybody (or everybody) running it back at 8.9k?
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Luka Doncic DK $11.6k FD $10.6k @New Orleans
He's might not get you to 6X (69) but 60 seems about the floor vs. Pelicans 8th worst defense in points allowed
Going to start stringing together triple doubles, as he has a 26/9/9, 33/10/4, and 25/10/10 splits in three games back from injury
New Orleans has held five straight PGs to 33 fp or less which could lower ownership.
Kristaps Porzingis is a GTD
Malcolm Brogdon DK $7.7k | FD $7.2k vs. Atlanta
Not a bad price for a guy who took 20 shots when Myles Turner (questionable) sat on Monday
Atlanta has allowed 40+ fp to five straight PGs (the only one that didn't hit was Ja Morant getting hurt after playing 9 minutes)
Borderline 6X in last three matchups with Hawks
Kevin Porter DK $7.4k | FD $6.8k @ Oklahoma City
Houston stack with Wood - yes, that's where we're at
Starting to launch after returning from a thigh injury, shooting 13, 16, and 17 times last three games.
Hit 49fp vs. OKC on Monday even with an atrocious 4/17 night from the floor
Tim Hardaway, Jr. DK $5.5k | FD $5.5k @New Orleans
Low ownership after a 25fp ceiling in the last four games
Should be more shots available if Porzingis sits
Loves playing the Pelicans, with 33, 38, and 43 fp last three head to head games
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Lauri Markkanen DK $6k | FD $6.3k @Miami
Coin flip between him and Evan Mobley ($6.5k) as either (or both) could hit value vs. depleted Miami team
Miami actually struggles vs. SF starters, and have allowed 40fp to DeMar DeRozan and 69 to Anthony Edwards in the past week
17 shots in two of four games since returning
Kelly Oubre, Jr. DK $5.4k | FD $5.6k @Milwaukee
Has arguably the best shots to price ratio in NBA DFS
Has launched 15+ times in four straight games
Has a 6X floor in three straight, now gets an up-tempo game with Milwaukee
Pat Connaughton DK $5k | FD $5k vs. Hornets
Great spot for an efficient shooter like Connaughton who has gone 6/10, 7/8, and 6/11 from the floor in three of his last four
Charlotte gives up the most points in the league while running the #3 pace
Minutes boost if the game does get out of hand because Bucks play in Toronto tomorrow night and starters could get pulled early
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Christian Wood DK $8.9k | FD $8.6k @Oklahoma City
Different venue, but the same matchup with OKC as his 60fp game on Monday
Two straight 60 burgers and still under $9k
Thunder the sixth worst rebounding team in the league
Houston using Wood more lately to boost trade interest
Bobby Portis DK $6.8k | FD $6.5k vs. Charlotte
Matchup play with the Hornets allowing consecutive 60 burgers to opposing C's and 35+ over the last four overall
Hornets allowing 36.98 fppg to opposing C's (5.5X)
Charlotte last in opponent points/game, last in opponent rebounds, and 3rd best in pace
