Basketball all day long on MLK Day is great, but we've got repercussions in the form of a short two-game slate tonight and just three games coming up later in the week on Thursday.

Some people love the short stacks, others sit them out but let's see how the little guy shakes down.

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups

Timberwolves (-3) @ Knicks, O/U 213.5 7:30 ET

This is a rematch of the Knicks' 96-88 win on December 28th but one that Karl-Anthony Towns, D'Angelo Russell, and Anthony Edwards were all in COVID protocols. New York is on the back to back after a 97-87 home loss to Charlotte - but with a 1:00 PM ET yesterday they've had plenty of recovery time.

Pistons @ Warriors (-15), O/U 218.5 10:00 ET

Golden State kicks off a 7-game homestand that lasts almost until February, and they hope it's good for what ails them after dropping 5 of the last 7. Steph Curry ($10.6k) is the highest-priced player on this short slate but he's sniffed 6X that price just once in the last six games he's played and sat out Sunday's loss to Minnesota with a sore hand.

D'Angelo Russell DK $8.2k FD $7.6k @ New York

• Perfect lineup in three of the last five

• Matchup play with Knicks allowing 40+ fp to five straight PGs

• Will be itching to launch after a 2-9 shooting outing against the Warriors on Sunday

• Hasn't played at Madison Square Garden since 2018

• Knicks on the back to back

Jordan Poole DK $6k | FD $5.9k vs. Detroit

• Could be a blowout win as -15 point favorites, and took 19 shots in Friday's 42-point win over the Bulls

• Had 32 real points vs. the Pistons on November 19th but with no Steph Curry

Klay Thompson DK $5.5k | FD $6k vs. Pistons

• Perfect game to get his groove back, just the second contest at home since his debut 9 days ago

• Pistons have allowed 34+ fp to four of past five SGs

• Has a 26fp ceiling since his return, but still averaging over 14 shots/game

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

RJ Barrett DK $7.3k | FD $7.2k vs Minnesota

• One of the more consistent players on the slate with a 35-44fp range in five straight

• Played 39 minutes yesterday, but Tom Thibodeau has never been one to restrict court time

Otto Porter, Jr. DK $5.8k | FD $6.9k vs. Pistons

• Has 37 and 36 fp the last two games even while playing just 22.5 mpg

• Jae Crowder and Pascal Siakam have both grabbed double digit rebounds vs. Detroit the last two games at the PF spot

Josh Jackson DK $3.6k | FD $3.8k @ Golden State

• Short slate and he has taken double-digit shots in 7 of the last 8

• MInutes could be there in a possible blowout (GSW -15)

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Mitchell Robinson DK $5.4k | FD $5.4k vs. Minnesota

• Grabbed 18 rebounds in the first meeting with T'Wolves although KAT was out

• PL and double-digit rebounds in three of the last four

• Had just 26 minutes yesterday, fresh for the back to back

• C's have hit 35+ fp in three of last four vs. Minnesota

Kevon Looney DK $4.9k | FD $5k vs. Detroit

• Has grabbed 12+ rebounds in three of the last five

• Pistons third-worst rebounding team in the NBA

• Detroit's numbers vs. opposing C's are inflated by Khem Birch and Deandre Ayton both getting injured in the 1st quarter the last two games
