Top NBA Plays Wednesday November 17th| The Doncic Effect
The Mavericks are "Luka-less" tonight in Phoenix as part of a huge 11-game Wednesday NBA slate. Bradley Beal is also back for Washington after missing a couple of days to attend his grandmother's funeral and the Lakers likely have one more game without Lebron James who is expected to return on Friday.
Brooklyn is on the back to back tonight after a huge loss to Golden State, and we've got some potential high scoring games in the Wizards at Hornets, Kings at Timberwolves, and Bulls at Trail Blazers matchups.
Let's break it down:
How will the Mavericks adjust without Luka Doncic? #MFFL#Mavsthesmokingcuban.com/posts/maverick…

Tonight's Key NBA Matchups
Wizards @ Hornets (-1) O/U 220 7:00 PM ET
The Wizards are just no fun this year (for DFS purposes). Last year they ran the #1 pace and had the worst defense, but now those numbers are 13th and 8th respectively. It's hard to retrain your brain after Washington being such a consistent target, but they've held 5 straight opponents to 100 points or less.
Celtics @ Hawks (-4.5), O/U 216 7:30 PM ET
Boston has scored 100 points or less in 4 of their last 5 road games. Atlanta has scored 120+ in two straight home games - and although Trey Young had 72fp vs. Milwaukee on Sunday, the Hawks showed too much depth on Monday with 4 players scoring 20+ real points.
Cavs @ Nets (-9.5), O/U 206 7:30 PM ET
The betting total is low, but there's a lot of usage opening up for Cleveland with rookie Evan Mobley scheduled to miss the next 2-4 weeks with an elbow injury joining the sidelined Collin Sexton (knee), Jarrett Allen (illness), and Lauri Markkanen (illness).
"One unnamed source said the medical staff was so preoccupied with Sexton's meniscus tear and that is why Evan Mobley's recovery looks like it will extend beyond initial estimates." twitter.com/Voldemalort/st…

Lakers @ Bucks (-9), O/U 221.5 7:30 PM ET
$1.8k price jump for Talen Horton-Tucker tonight as the Lakers forward is coming off a 42fp game on Monday. Carmelo Anthony has moved into the starting lineup the last two games, but he's been held to 22 and 20fp. Giannis Antetokounmpo ($12.5k) needs 75fp for 6X tonight, but he averaged 45.5 fp in two games vs. L.A last season.
Kings @ Timberwolves (-2), O/U 227 8:00 PM ET
Solid target game with two of the top 10 teams in pace and the highest betting total of the slate. The T'Wolves were in a low scoring 99-95 loss to the Suns on Monday but the Kings defense gives up the 6th most points in the league.
Mavs @ Suns (-8.5), O/U 212 10:00 PM ET
The Doncic ailments don't appear to be serious but he's at least out tonight, and as the NBA usage leader (35.2%) there's a lot opening up for Dallas here - unfortunately against the Suns defense though.
Bulls @ Trail Blazers (-1.5), O/U 219.5 10:00 PM ET
Is this a letdown spot for Chicago after getting the "Staples Sweep" (soon to be the crypto.com cruise) in wins over the Clippers and Lakers on Sunday and Monday? DeMar DeRozan shot nearly 70% in those games landing in the perfect lineup in each.

Tonight's Center Position Notables
Clint Capela DK $7.2k | FD $7k vs. Boston

Big fp boost in the 28 minutes he's played without Huerter and Bogdanovic this season - both of which are questionable.
